Recoil management
Installed in Walther PDP 5" match polymer frame.
I highly recommend as long as you use this product with the correct expectation. Walther pistols in particular have a high bore axis which leads to a very snappy recoil pulse. The weight and design of the factory recoil spring/guide is fairly heavy t...

works fine but don't go out of your way
I've wanted to try a dpm spring for years now and finally decided to get one to try on my new pdp. Just to give you a bit of my background i go to the range probably 4-5 times per week, i shoot A LOT. And train on multiple different weapon systems and run a lot of different drills (not just standing...

reduces recoil
Actually reduces recoil the gun is less snappy noticeable difference. It’s basically equivalent to a high end suspension on a sports car but for your gun.

Great quality & reliability, some improvement to felt recoil
Overall, the weight and quality of the recoil spring/guide rod assembly is very noticeable. Metal finish and spring quality all seem top notch, which they should at this price-point. The DPM assembly dropped into my 4inch PDP seamlessly and after ~500 rounds, has not impacted the PDP's flawless reliability whatsoever.
Recoil reduction with the DPM system is subtle, though it may be more noticeable in the longer slide/barrel PDP models. Shooting a variety of ammo, the PDP still feels snappier than a G19/G45, VP9K, or P10C, but I do think the DPM spring makes some difference in getting back on-target for quick follow-up shots.

Walther PDP upgraded recoil spring
Good upgrade...not necessarily needed, but if you can afford it why not...stainless steel, so there's that...would give 5 stars but if you need your purchase you'll be waitin a long time to get it...bought several items from opticsplanet.com and there seems to be no urgency to get items shipped out to the customers...so if you can wait a while then their prices are comparable...would not be my 1st choice to deal with...
Pros:
- Got the item as advertised
Cons:
- None

- Walther pdp

works great!
I really like this recoil system. It seems to work well. I didn't have any cycling issues. It is easier to rack the gun. I didn't notice a huge difference in the recoil itself. However, I did notice it was easier to track the dot and get faster follow-up shots. Also, I like the idea of having an all stainless steel recoil assembly over the old plastic one. I recommend it to anyone who has a pdp and wants to upgrade their gun. For under $100, it's worth every penny.

Install took 20 seconds, worked flawlessly and was noticeably easier to manage recoil. Shot the new guide rod with 147gr. Winchester ranger 1. Very accurate very smooth and I'm very happy with this purchase. I believe it is a must have for the walther. My PDP is my duty weapon and is better than ever(it was already amazing), and payed with the overwatch precision tac trigger..... It is a game changer. Highly recommend and as always...
