Most Helpful Positive Review Eberlestock
I needed a large Brief that could hold my large notebook. I also didn't want a Brief that was over the top large. The Combat Office Briefcase achieved all of the above plus is really build to take the weight of the laptop and all other needed equipment. I have owed a 100 briefcases and this one is t...

Most Helpful Negative Review Swing, and a very big miss
I have been on the prowl for just the right bag, and have been tracking Eberlestock for quite some time. As an active duty mil operator, I take my kit very seriously--I am no stranger to the EDC world. I needed something that gave me the quick access of an attaché but the organization of a briefcas...

Eberlestock Combat Office Briefcase

by Taylor, from AL, United States Written on April 6, 2023
I am very picky about bags. I have always been a 5.11 fan but Eberlestock definitely makes a phenomenal product. This is my first bag by them and I will buy additional bags. I always have pros and cons to every bag but overall I am completely satisfied with the bag.
Pros:
  • Big. Plenty of compartments. Multipurpose.
Cons:
  • I wish some of the pockets were deeper.
Best Used for:
  • Every day use or any situation

I wanted to love it.....but...

I am a big Eberlestock fan. I got a Phantom bag for when I go to the range, a FAC for when I travel and the Undercover Brief for Conferences. I really don't need a bigger briefcase, but it is always better to have one then to need one. So I ordered and waited...and when it arrived, I was pretty underwhelmed. Quality is great, material superior and looks are awesome, but when it comes it actually put stuff in it, it falls short (for me anyway). If you want to carry a laptop with cable and transformer, an iPad, maybe a binder or some papers, your headphone for when it gets loud, charger for phone and iPad, you are about to reach the maximum capacity. Even a thin rain jacket will not fit, or much other stuff. The bag is too rigid and the compartments not wide enough. If you carry the bag and open the front flap, it is difficult to look into the organizer compartment. And why can't we have more little mesh pockets with zippers or velcro to securely transport little things like passports, cables and what not. The magazine holders (AR style mags I guess) are not the best solution while the CCW pocket really rocks. I wish they had used the magnets for the front flap too.
I think there is room for improvement and I promise that I will reconsider when Eberlestock produces a larger or enhanced version, so you don't need an extra back pack when you go on a day trip.
Pros:
  • Quality
  • Looks
  • Material
  • CCW Pocket
Cons:
  • not expandable
  • Too rigid
  • Not enough small pockets

Eberlestock Briefcase

by King Bee, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on March 15, 2017
This bag is another creative and resourceful Eberlestock creation at a great price. The briefcase is highly functional with high capacity, as expected. Materials are premium and rugged, all of the storage compartments are arranged thoughtfully, and it looks great. Most tactical briefcases have a tendency to more closely resemble a courier bag, but this bag provides the typical image more shooters would desire. This briefcase probably won't be used by the majority of attorneys or other civil professionals, but it is still a solid professional accessory that has already impressed many of my peers. The only thing I can pick on is the shoulder strap cushion, which will not easily slide along the strap, past the buckle into a more centered position (i.e. centered over the top of my shoulder rather than behind it). I typically carry it by the handles, so other potential customers may have more of an issue with this design choice.

Range/school bag

by Nick, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on March 4, 2016
I use this bag for everything. From work to school and even the range. I love the compartment for a pistol. Can fit anything from a xds to a full size 1911 with extended mag on it. Zippers are made for durability and compartment for my laptop is padded. A lot of storage up from for misc stuff including a spare mag. Would deff recommend this bag.

Durable and Practical

by Wayne, from NM, United States Written on October 30, 2015
The briefcase has no issues carrying my Precision M4800 and 5" 1911(when i can carry it). The zippers, buckles, and hook and loop systems are high quality and the pockets work fine. When I thought I had enough weight in the bag to break the plastic shoulder strap connectors, they held up without signs of stress. I've had the bag for a solid year in the construction business and it is still going strong.
Pros:
  • durable
  • great design
  • Well constructed
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Laptop
  • Lookin' Good

Overall a bad bag

by Matthew Nelson, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 8, 2015
I had such high hopes for this bag, but when I received it I was disappointed with the quality. The connection points for the strap were small. The strap was thin and the shoulder pad was flimsy. The main compartment would not zip far enough shut to allow the velcro to grab hold. Put under load of a laptop and normal EDC items; the velcro pulled back every time. And, there was no waterproof coating on the inside. My very first "Target" was better than this bag, which is where this bag belongs. I get it the reasoning behind it. Parlay the name/reputation to expand the customer base, but all it has done is blacken the eye of Eberlestock.
