Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect EDC
Excellent quality as expected from Eberlestock! Well constructed mid size backpack that would be a great choice for EDC, get home bag or bug out bag whatever your flavor. Of course this pack is great as a stand alone backpack or use it in conjunction with Eberlestock skycrane or warhammer packs. I was thoroughly impressed with this pack as soon as I opened the box! I knew right away that this pack would handle 90% of my needs. I can load this pack with enough gear to do an overnighter comfortably. After adding the warhammer pack I can carry tent, sleeping bag etc and don't have to transfer items...

The perfect pack

by LD, Verified Owner from KS, United States Written on April 3, 2026
If you are looking for a durable pack that could be used for anything from an emergency go-bag to a 3-day sustainment pack to a daily pack then look no further. This pack has it all: Molle panels for accessory attachments, large main compartment to hold just about anything you want, and high-quality construction. The only knock is that it’s kind of boxy in shape and looks a little too tactical to serve as a EDC. I did purchase the Gossamer frame that inserts into the rifle scabbard tunnel to give it more stability, the pack probably should come with it.
Pros:
  • High quality
  • Modular
  • spacious
  • Well-built
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • hiking
  • camping
  • Tactical
  • prepared citizen

Have little brother that was included in previous purchase with sky crane. Use the little brother so often that had to purchase others separately. High quality and functional. Highly recommend. Great 3 day pack. Quality zippers and comfortable straps. Wish they would have more color selection for seperate purchase of little brother pack.

Just what I wanted.

by D. Fuller, from WA, United States Written on March 9, 2016
I bought this to go with my Warhammer and the G1 works. Whether I need to pack quickly and hit the road, or otherwise. Access to the interior is extremely easy and incredibly handy. The pockets and MOLLE do just fine.

Another fine quality product from Eberlestock.
Pros:
  • High quality, great value
Cons:
  • None, really.
Best Used for:
  • everyday use

Eberlestock quality, but could be improved

by hesty24, from TX, United States Written on December 13, 2014
I have a Warhammer that I bought this to stick in the cargo bay on smaller missions, but have a Spike duffle in the cargo bay with the G1 on the outside/ top. However, an oversight that E stock didn't realize is that while having this zip in to the front zipper of the cargo bay, it would be nice if there were zippers on the back of the G1 so that it leaves the cargo bay empty for the spike duffle, but the G1 is lacking that zipper. So my issue is that if someone owned a J pack of whatever species and wanted to use both a G1 and a spike duffle bag, it could be done (as I have read), but you will not be able to secure both of them with zippers, and they will be at mercy of the compression straps only. What I would like for my application is the spike duffle zipped into the back of my Warhammer, and then place the G1 on top of the spike (zipped in). So that if I am on the move and items need to be accessed in the G1 by someone in my party, it might be difficult with respect to the compression straps to do such. Not undoable, but just difficult. My intentions would be to have my back up clothing packed tightly in the spike duffle; therefore, the heaviest closest to my torso, and lighter and smaller tangible items in the G1. At base camp, drop the Warhammer with the spike, remove Warhammer's waist belt, apply it to the G1, and go. Another reason for having the G1 on the outside is one could apply the saddlebags or 2 Liter pouches to the sides of the G1 further enhancing ...
