Most Helpful Positive Review Unconventional !
OK, I needed a large volume pack that had versatility. I scoured the net and was open to just about anything, but most important was quality, comfort, and versatility. I narrowed it down to 3 companies (Kifaru, Mystery Ranch, and Eberlestock). After watching the YouTube clip on the Mystery Ranch NICE frame, I was really interested. Sounds like they have the best frame! However, their packs could not hold a match to the Warhammer, in fact, about the only pack that can is Eberlestock's Skycrane II, in my opinion. So why the Warhammer? ALICE frame and I now believe they made the switch to an Inte...

Very Robust

by Chris, from CO, United States Written on January 31, 2024
So far I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it feels very sturdy. I purchased as a hunting/ruckable pack so I wouldn't have to have two separate packs. Although I do plan on purchasing the Little Brother to complete it inorder to have the two in one setup.
Pros:
  • Versitile
  • Robust
  • Lots of storage capacity
Cons:
  • heavier than expected
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • survival
  • Rucking
  • reconnaissance

Heavy, versatile workhorse.

by WE, from WA, United States Written on November 5, 2018
This is not a pack for casual backpacking. It's a specialized pack. I find it handy for hauling my packraft, paddle and gear. But the Warhammer is also popular up here in Washington state with elk hunters. With the 50 liter waterproof bag zipped in, it can haul 75 lbs plus of boned venison. The frame has a shelf that accommodates a 5 gallon jerry can. This pack is heavy, but it's a workhorse.
Pros:
  • Versatile
  • Bombproof
  • robust frame
Cons:
  • weight
  • lots of straps and zippers
Best Used for:
  • Backcountry Hunting
  • packrafting
  • porter
Would recommend: Yes

Worth the Money

by Ricky Murphy, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on June 8, 2017
Without question, this is a tremendous multipurpose backpack. I'm using it as my bugout bag. The design and materials used are impeccable. It's wear is comfortable even under great load. The bag is heavy but very functional. It's weight is forcing me to reconsider my loadout. I need to lighten my load. This was a great investment. Well worth the money and should last a lifetime.
Pros:
  • Tremendous build quality
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • Multipurpose

Warhammer Backpack

by PaulE, from AL, United States Written on December 17, 2014
I am a kayaker and I usually keep all my camping gear in my "Paddlewagon" in one of those Rubbermaid Storage tubs. No too long ago we had a snowstorm that had blocked most of the major roadways, I had everything to survive in my tub, but if I left the vehicle I would have had to leave all but the essentials. I purchased the "Little Brother" from Eberlestock and it held my tent, sleeping bag, camp pillow and Kukri knife. Obviously this was not enough capacity for the B.O.B. to hold the contents of the tub, so I ordered the Warhammer and combined the two. Now I have the entire contents of that giant Rubbermaid tub in a B.O.B. that I can carry on my back. This includes all of my camping gear, med kits, fire kit, camp stove, three knives, a tomahawk, mess kit with cup, and then I added the shotgun scabbard in between the "little Brother" and the right wing of the Warhammer. It holds my Ruger Gunsite Scout(without quick release scope, iron sights only)perfectly.
Pros:
  • Volumous
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Hiking, Camping, Adventures, B.O.B.

this pack is built like a tank I love it. I bought the Eberlestock SuperSpike Duffel, Eberlestock LP1 FannyTop Mountable Go Bag,Eberlestock Hydration System, 2L, Green, and Eberlestock Reversible Rain Cover to go with it you can build this pack just any way you want, tons options to fit this pack. if your looking to haul lots of weight and need a tuff pack this is the one you've been looking for.
