Eberlestock J51 Warhammer Backpack is a variable-use backpack that works great by itself and even better when you customize it with extra attachments and expansions. The Warhammer is an offshoot of the popular Eberlestock J79 Skycrane II, featuring a similar fold out butterfly pocket arrangement and Cam Expansion system; the main difference is that the Warhammer is slightly shorter than the Skycrane II and doesn't include the Fanny Top or the Little Brother. Though the Eberlestock Warhammer is shorter than the J79, its butterfly compartments are larger, giving it slightly more carrying capacity in its default compact mode. The Warhammer uses the military's tried and true ALICE frame as its basis, making for a quiet, comfortable backpack that doesn't skimp on storage. This Eberlestock backpack is well equipped for multiple day excursions without the benefit of any expansion accessories. Two pockets for 2-liter hydration systems and Eberlestock's tested four-way compression strap system are all available on the Warhammer. Plus, you can add additional accessories to the Eberlestock J51 simply by using the dense network of PALS and MOLLE webbing all over the pack.
But like the other packs in the J-Series, the Eberlestock J51 Warhammer ALICE Pack was designed for versatility and expansion. With extra accessories, the War Hammer can be come virtually any pack you want it to be. Add the Eberlestock G1 Little Brother for a front-loading workhorse, or throw an Eberlestock Super Spike Duffel into the loading bay for a high capacity freighter pack. You can attach an LP1 Fanny Top to any of these configurations for a quick-access top storage compartment that also acts as an extra layer of compression. The tough compression straps of the Eberlestock War Hammer can lash almost anything to the loading bay of the pack, adding lots of versatility to this already incredibly useful backpack. Scabbards are also easy to attach to the Warhammer. Eberlestock offers an array of Side Scabbards and Backscabbards that can be integrated into the Warhammer using the PALS webbing, and the backpack features zip away panels along the top and bottom that will allow you to carry longer rifles and access them without taking off the Warhammer. For a basic multi-day pack that can also be expanded or contracted to suit your wants and needs, pick up the Eberlestock J51 War Hammer.
