You’ll have to use the magazine release casing and spring that come with your 1911. If they are mil-spec, then dropping in the Ed Brown extended magazine release should be no problem.

its good that i ordered it for my rock island 1911 efs it fits right out of the box no shaving materials needed and easy install and im happy about it.

Just want to share the good news for anyone that might also want a simple upgrade to their lower cost 1911, I'm new to this series of handgun. One of the first upgrades I had to do with mine was change out the short mag-release to this one. It is a super easy install, 0 fitting, and it works great.
Also would suggest a little Blue loctite on the threads that hold the extended button onto the release after you get yours installed, just a dab will do.
