Fits Marlin lever action
It's my Marlin liver action perfectly. I had to melt a hole in the bottom to allow the swivel sling threaded connection to fit. But once you thread that into the hole that you make into the stock, it holds the stock cartridge holder, even more firmly in place than the Velcro. Definitely a good price.

This is the best slip on shell holder I’ve bought . It fits snugly on the stock, doesn’t interfere when firing and holds shells securely. I added a few small pieces of Velcro to the bottom of the stock and holder to really lock it into place

Ammo pouch
The ammo pouch sleeve fits my lever actions well. The rounds fit snuggly and the velcro holds tight. Very pleased.

Great shell holder, but....
I would give it 5 stars but Optics plant gives it the wrong item title. The Shotgun model only holds 5 Shells, not 6. If you visit the manufacturers website, they call it a 5 shell holder. There is a 6th loop on mine but it's too small for a 6th shell, just there to continue the elastic to the far end of the fabric. The tapered shape and back strap provide great fit. And of course it covers up the sling stud. I plan to reinforce that area with some Cordura nylon and burn a hole for the stud to poke through.

Do not like this product
I was not impressed with this product. It blocks the sling swivel on the rifle’s butt stock and I won’t be able to use it. I wish I had looked around and found something a bit different. Shipping took over two weeks.

Great product...
Best butt stock cartridge holder I've ever used. Good heavy material with Velcro closure. The retaining strap at the rear is a great feature. One other nice feature is the tapered design which is always missing on other holders I've used.
I also purchased the shorter wrap over Velcro closure version that can be used in front of the sling swivel! It also works excellent. And also made in the USA.

Decent quality for the price.
I was very satisfied with the quality of this product, especially since it wasn't expensive. It is certainly well made even though it's not made in america. The material that holds in the cartridges seems to be thicker than most and keep cartridges quite smug, they will not easily fall out. My only word of caution to the buyer, is that there is no pre-cut hole on the product to accommodate for slipping the cartridge holder over the screw post at the bottom of the rifle stock, to which one would attach the rifle sling. Aside from this one issue, I certainly recommend this product.
