Most Helpful Negative Review Eotech 512 will not hold zero

Eotech recalled optics for failure to hold zero until Mar 2017. When using sight made in Nov 2012 this winter (Dec 2017) to sight in a AR15 it could not hold/return to zero in cold temps (worked in desert temps and more mild weather before that). Can’t say enough good things about EOTech

This is my 6th EOTech. I have them on a verity of military type rifles some of which have been in service for over twenty years. At around the two decade mark I’ve had to replace the battery contact pads, a few minute replacement. Some of these rifles have seen years of competition and subjected to every type of abuse and have the scars to show for it and I’ve never had one fail.

Fast target acquisition and fast delivery of rounds on target

Eotech 512

This is my first Eotech purchase, and I ask myself.... What have I been waiting for? I'm putting together a clone correct Beryl M1 Rifle as used in the Polish Military, and in every picture I've seen the rifles are topped with an Eotech 512.
Glass is ultra clear and the reticle is crisp beyond my expectations. I've got a slight Astygmatisim too and sometimes they appear washed out, like a starburst, but not this one. Highly recommend!!! No disappointments with this purchase in any way!

Originally mounted on 300 ACC Blackout. Performed excellent. But decided to put the sight designed for the blackout on it. I purchased a Ruger LC 45ACP and put it on it. Now my favorite firearm. Ringing steel at 50 yards is boring. 100’s of rounds down range and still on the money. A+

I own two of these optics. They are iconic for a reason. I have used and owned just about everything. From Zeiss to Shield, to Aimpoint, to Leupold, and everything in between. When it comes to my heavy weapons, the 512.A65 is my go-to electronic sight. Old reliable!

Old Reliable

It's an EOTech 512. Simple, incredibly sturdy and reliable, and has the better part of 25+ years of global conflict abroad to be battle-proven. If you want an EOTech and don't want or need all the bells and whistles of Night-vision settings, QD, and CR 123A operation, then this is the model to go for. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it for a domestically American sight where so many other options are available that are outsourced, shoddy construction and questionable reliability.

plinking
Tactical
Target shooting
Close ,mid and intermediate ranges.

EOTech 512 A65 Holographic Weapon Sight

This is the Holographic Sight to have for the AR Platform for close to medium range accuracy. Very well made, durable and tested tough in the field. Mine has been flawless so far. The AA batteries are easy to find and have on hand when needed. The auto shut off feature helps the batteries last longer. Mounted correctly it holds zero spot on. Very pleased wit this sight.

East Target Acquisition, great eye relief. Holds zero.

AR Platform close to medium range
