This battery cover laser, is very nice. I wish EOTech continued to produce them, but they've stopped, if you can get your hands-on one. It is a very good addition and very worthwhile.

Awesome product at a fair price. This product really made target acquisition easy and fast. It was very easy to install. Simply take off the old battery case and replace it with the new Laser Battery Cap...Yee-Haaa!

Good purchase

I can't say I understand why EOTech discontinued these. I originally ordered it thinking it would fit my 557, which it did not. No big deal, called up Optics Planet's customer support and they had a 558 on it's way with the package price discount. Everything works, although I didn't buy it for the red laser. I wanted a reliable IR laser for NVG. The red laser is of little use with the holographic sight and is not visible it bright daylight. The IR laser is superb.

  • Compact, integrated with sight so it's not another device attached to the rail.
Cons:
  • Discontinued

Great product- does what it says. Easy to install and use with everyday batteries. Long run life. Positive grip toggle switches for ease of use for both lasers. Rugged and well built. Low weight and streamline design make for a no-brainer addition to use EOTECH red-dot.

Purchased New Laser battery cap 2 , But come to find out there are NO pressure pads available VERY DISAPPOINTING.
Love the laser site but pressure pads for both lasers would complete the package as intended.

Nice add on to the optic. Don’t have to add much more bulk and get a very effective laser. It was very easy to install and seems to be the same quality of the optic. Easy on off switch. But I would recommend a pressure pad.

Caught a great sale for 119.95 laser only model this thing is awesome washes out a bit in bright sun light. But you wouldn’t use it in broad daylight as soon as sun started setting or overcast grey days it works perfectly. With such a big battery cover might as well use that space this was perfect great quality, price, functionality. Buy one you won’t regret it

EOTech drop in Laser battery cap for 518

This laser went on a S&W carbine with surefire light and switch. There wasn't a lot of room to fit a separate laser and switch. This dropped in, a perfect fit. The laser is visible up to 25yds in daylight but very visible out to 100yds at night. This combined with the light makes a great set up.

  • Light and compact, takes no extra space on the rail

  • None that have presented themselves yet.

  • Varmint and hog hunting

Never been a fan of lasers until I built an AR pistol. Put my 512 on a supressed .300 Blackout, and added this little gem. This is a good CQB setup. I have the laser set for 15 feet and the 512 at 25 yards.

I purchased the Laser Battery Cap with the RED and IR for my 558 unit for use with a Armasight Spark G CORE IIT Night Vision Goggle. The EOTech 558 works with Gen 1 - 3 night vision devices. This system works perfectly but both lasers need to be zeroed in separately. I would like to see rubber caps for the pressure plate plug-in points. Battery life is not as long as other sites, but AA batteries are inexpensive comparatively speaking. Highly recommended.
