Awesome performance
I purchased this sight in the summer- July or August. The ETA kept getting bumped further... but I was eagerly awaiting its arrival. Then miraculously in October it arrived! I mounted it to my FN509 and headed out to shoot. After a few shots, I moved it 2 clicks to the right and was done. I have sho...

I’ve owned the EFLX for 11 months and use it fairly regularly—roughly 200 rounds per month. Occasionally, it serves as my EDC, but it hasn’t been subjected to any hard use, tactical classes, or drop testing.
That said, I’m extremely disappointed in the optic.
Pros:
• Clean, attractive design

Fits well with a M9A4
Mounted with a plate to my M9A4. Solid set up, easy to sight in and a large window to utilize! I have an astigmatism and have minimal problems using this optic compared to others. The dot is decent to me and starbursts only when on the highest brightness settings outside. In medium to lower settings, it works great. Indoors or outdoors. Color matches well to my M9A4.
Pros:
- Size
- color
- Easy to set up
Cons:
- Price can be a factor
- Mounting options
Best Used for:
- handguns

EOTech EFLX
Familiar reticle and operation to anyone who uses Eotech optics. Love it.

NO Auto ON Feature
THIS SIGHT DOESN'T HAVE AN AUTO ON FEATURE!
There are sights that cost half as much with this feature. I do not want to have to leave my optic on all day to end up with a dead battery when I need to draw my firearm. You have to manually hold down the on and off buttons when you want to use it. This needs to be fixed. Thought I'd take a chance and get away from RMR because I love EOTechs rifle optics, but their pistol optics need design work. Overall, the build is actually pretty decent, feels good, looks good, but the no auto On/Off is what kills the deal. If they added this, they would easily jump to a 5/5.

Acceptable but not great
Is this a functional sight? Yes.
Is this a great sight? No.
Build quality looks good. It is a good looking sight. Performance is meh.
Illumination is a problem with this sight.
This red dot will not perform on a very bright day. Range day in the summer at noon? Barely visible. My PA SLX 3x prism has brighter illumination than this red dot which is extremely confusing considering "red dot bright" is a selling point for an illuminated reticle. Reticle illumination should never be brighter than a red dot, yet somehow the EFLX is dim enough on max brightness (on a fresh battery) to be outdone by reticle illumination.
Max brightness is somehow both too dim to use on a bright day, but also bright enough to bloom out and get illuminator artifacts. Crank the brightness up so that you can see the dot on a marginally bright day and you will be dealing with a halo around your smudged dot.
Battery life is fine. Auto off works but this sight lacks shake-awake(!!!) making it questionably useful on a carry/bedside gun.
This is the first EOtech product I have owned and I cannot help but be disappointed. My friends rave about their holographic sights. I expected this red dot to be of similar quality. I was disappointed.
Vortex and Primary Arms both offer similar or cheaper options for this optic cut. Some of those options also have shake awake tech. I will likely try to offload this sight in favor of one of those options. The lack of features such as shake awake combined with the dim,...

Disappointed
I purchased the eotech EFLX less than a year ago at my local Armory. I put it on my Ganik Rival Dark Side. In less than 300 rounds through the pistol the EFLX turned off and will not come on no matter what I do. I even changed the battery thinking maybe nope no go . Very Disappointed at that price point you'd think you'd at least get 500 rounds :-(

Love this red dot
The window is large, the glass is clear, top loading battery and easy controls. Plus it’s affordable, not to mention an Eotech.

Eotech pistol sight
Best optics ever. I was very impressed with the quality of this product. It fit perfectly on my staccato.

First optic ever owned
This was the first optic I’ve ever owned. I went with EoTec obviously cause of the name brand. I bought this last year mounted it to my Staccato P. Sure you hear stories about this optic. Glass is cheap, it doesn’t hold zero. It’s been on my P since September last year. I love it. Sure I don’t use it a while but I’m getting used to it. I like how you can turn it off and on, make it brighter or dimmer. Good optic for the price point. I’m looking to buy another for the XC next.
