Most Helpful Negative Review Ups and Downs
There are not many good reviews for this scope, the few on YouTube give glowing reviews but they don’t mention many downsides. I own multiple lpvo’s along with regular scopes from different manufacturers like sig, vortex and leupold to name a few. This review is of the FFP SR5 MRAD, FDE model. The ...

EOTech is clearly resting on their laurels

Pronounced fishbowl effect at 1x. For an optic at this pricepoint, you should at least get 1x right….but they didnt.

Great scope

by Travis W, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on March 8, 2024
So far, I am impressed by this scope. I haven't mounted it on a rifle yet because I'm still waiting on the rifle to ship from the manufacturer. I really like the reticle (Mil Rad) and the glass is really clear. The illumination is really bright except when pointed at something completely white on a bright day. You can still see the red but it isn't as bright when pointed at a darker object. For me this isn't an issue because I can still see the reticle against the white background.

The magnification ring has a good amount of resistance. It isn't too hard to turn. The buttons for the illumination are easy to hit and I like that it has an on/off button. I'm excited to get this mounted and I think it will fit my needs perfectly. I'm glad I waited for a coupon from Optics Planet because it was a really good deal with free shipping. They shipped it out quickly.
Pros:
  • Sturdy
  • Clear
  • great reticle
Cons:
  • price
