Most Helpful Positive Review Shooting glasses
My purchase was back ordered for a couple weeks but worth the wait. Great price and value. The form fit and impact resistance are a must for the range. I shoot in some hot/humid FL ranges and have not had any issues with fogging since switching to these lenses. Although the lenses are inte...

First, they are comfortable with ear muffs on. The lenses are a royal pain to change. The pictures on OP clearly show three lenses, each with nose pads. The smoke lens came without a nose pad. So in addition to changing lenses, you also have to change the nose pad to the new lens. This just beg...

Crossbow Suppressors Are Okay

by Tristan Clark, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on June 2, 2024
This is my first set of nicer shooting glasses. I’m a fan of the regular crossbow frames. They stay secure on my face, the lenses have good coverage, and they feel fairly comfortable under my walker razors. I have a larger face and the crossbow suppressors still don’t hold very well without the included strap to keep them secure. Even with my walker razors, I feel like they want to slip.

Excellent eye pro, outstanding price

by jth, Verified Owner from NE, United States Written on April 23, 2018
I destroy eye pro, and I shoot a lot. In the past, instead of buying expensive Oakleys or Rudy Project glasses, I just bought cheap $6 pairs by the case, and changed them out as I destroyed them, which occurred at a rate of about 1 per month.

I simply wasn't going to spend more money on something I was going to scratch up in a month of range trips. (I compete in USPSA, Steel Challenge, and Multigun, so I'm at the range a lot doing a lot of shooting.)

A friend suggested I try these, because it is true that cheaper glasses just aren't as clear, nor as durable. (Or as comfortable.) And I liked the idea of a regular pair for summer with in the ear protection, and the "suppressor" pair with the flat earpieces for under the earpro wear in winter or indoors. The cost was low for the package, so I tried it.

And they are great. Clear, hard to damage/scratch, easy to change out lenses, the suppressor frames are excellent under headgear, both frame types are comfortable to wear, and the clear lenses and the copper lenses in particular are outstanding for shooting in varying levels of light.

And replacement lenses (for when I finally scratch up a set which is going to happen) are only $20. And so far, this lens set has lasted longer than 3 of my previous sets, so I'm going to be ahead on cost, I'm sure.

If you want to upgrade your eye pro, are hard on your glasses, but want good quality---this is an really good buy.
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • good cost
  • two frames for different uses
Cons:
  • Not really any

ESS Crossbow Suppressor 2X+ Plus Eyeshields w/3 Lenses

by JJSFl, from FL, United States Written on April 22, 2018
Finally bit the bullet and dropped the extra $$ for a top quality set of eye protection, upgrading from the cheap/ lower cost pair I had been using. These are lightweight, comfortable, fit well and give a good range of coverage above and around the eyes. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a higher grade of eye protection, which really should be everyone.

ESS Crossbow

by Monroe, from TX, United States Written on October 9, 2017
Best shooting glasses I've ever used. Love the thin frames so you can use earmuffs with them. Price is a little high, but got a great deal when I called OP. Called on a Monday told them I needed them by Thursday. They made it happen and still got free shipping.

Two for the price of one...kinda

by bloodytomvayne, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on June 30, 2017
I have had oakleys, ess, and a myriad of others while serving in the military in my past life. I looked and looked for this particular set up, copper with the clear lens. I use a ear muff style headset and the suppresor is perfect for the headset. I reccomend these and I'm a guy who's picky.

Must have for a shooter

by Phil, from IL, United States Written on March 28, 2017
After searching for over a month, I narrowed it down to ESS. Great value, 2 frames 3 eyeshields and RX insert available for aging eyes. After my optometrist filled the RX in the inserts, they fit great and are very comfortable to wear. Small learning curve on taking lenses and nose pieces out for exchange but comes easily and there are clear instructions plus YouTube videos. ANSI and Mil Spec rated.

High value protection; not as comfortable as I had hoped for.

by Steve, from VA, United States Written on May 2, 2016
Kit comes with two frames and three lenses. I purchased for the impact resistance and eye protection. I don't wear over the ear hearing protection so I tried the standard frames first. Not the most comfortable around the ears. Then tried the slim set and liked them better. Both sets sat too close to my brow and I will be ordering the medium size nosepiece. Too bad they could not have included two nosepiece sizes in the package.
