EGW Win Model 70, HD picatinny 0 MOA scope mount
This EGW scope mount is as solid as it needs to be. The only issue I had was it was a little long using medium Warne scope rings. The mount over hangs the receiver. I cut off two section of picatinny to keep the objective from hitting the scope mount. I now have correct eye relief and keep the scope height. I may have avoided cutting the mount if I had bought the standard EGW mount that has a channel for iron sights.

Precision built rail!
I mounted a new scope using the EGW HD Picatinny rail over the weekend and it fit perfectly. The guy @ EGW helped me select the correct model number for this particular Winchester Mod. 70 based on the model name, caliber and serial number. He told me there were 7 iterations of the rail for the Model 70, so his help in selecting the correct one was crucial. OpticsPlanet had the right one at the right price and the rest is history. Fast service, best price - that's what I want, and with OP, that's what I got. I used Vortex rings, followed their advice, used a torque wrench to do the job right, and the scope mounted without problem. On the range this product performed well. The precision milling and finish looks great.

Great mounts purchased 20 MOA picatinny rails for Weatherby .338 Lapua and Winchester 70 in 7mm mag. Now I use one good scope and switch between rifles since ballistics are similar enough to 500 yards. Holds zero on both rifles.
