One thing I forgot to mention that others may need to be aware of, is the height of the finderscope holder-rings-stem that comes with the telescope. The one supplied is standard and its okay, but when looking through the finderscope your face may brush up against the diagonal/eyepiece. I decided to upgrade the finderscope holder-rings-stem with the "Explore Scientific Tall Finder Scope Rings" part number FNDRRGSTALL. This is sold by Optics Planet. It is 4" taller and made for this telescope and finderscope. Makes a world of a difference. This should actually come standard with the telescope instead of the short one. For about $59 it was worth it. You can check out promo codes/coupons for Optics Planet on the internet, and or check the Optics Planet website often as they always have 5% and 10% off site wide of their products. Might save you a few bucks. Regardless...well worth getting and now that finderscope becomes a very useful tool! Just a little tid bit I thought I would pass along.

Received this and was surprised at the size! Very manageable at f6.5 compared to other 6" refractor's at f8. Well built with a beautiful professional white glaze paint job. Can't go wrong with the 2" Dielectric diaginal, matching white straight thru finderscope, and sweet 2 speed crawford focuser. I added a Baader Semi Apo filter to the diagonal to cut down on the very controlled CA. Bottom line this package is the best bang for the buck for those wanting a 6" refractor without having to take out a 2nd mortgage!
