Other than being bulky, I love this grip. When I first installed it there was a little play to the magwell section but there was a place for an extra roll-pin that they didn't include. It wasn't in the instructions so it isn't like they forgot the part. I have several roll pin kits so I found one that fit, ground it to the right length and after installing that the play is gone. This grip is in the way when I try to use my shell catcher (the clip on Brass Goat version) and it does take more space in the safe... but every time I think I'll swap it for another grip, I just can't. It's been on that build for almost 4 years now. I dig it that much. The rifle lives on an ARMA-15 wall mount lock now so the space issue isn't an issue any more. Very comfortable rubber coating and beaver-tail. Moves the weight of a bipod back for better balance while shooting off-hand IMO. It gets compliments too, not that I'm a fan of conversations at the range.

This is a fun way to have a bipod on the go, while minimizing weight, and keeping your lower rail slick. It’s objectively better than having no bipod or bag. Plus it looks BA. The catch is that if you need it for dynamic situations (not at the range), you’ll also have a good chance of depressing the bipod deployment button on your kit, which I did several times during a tactical competition. Strictly as a bipod during range day, it does a B-/C+ job compared to a bipod closer to the muzzle. The further you move support from the muzzle and toward the trigger, the less stable you will be. This was a sacrifice I was willing to make if it were otherwise fit for use in the field. If I were to change one thing, I would put the button in a recess, or require an additional deployment action (button, latch, button cover, etc) to mitigate accidental bipod deployment.
Pros:
- Weight
- Looks
- speed
- keeps your rail clean
Cons:
- not as stable as a conventional bipod
- easy to accidentally deploy on kit while moving dynamically

Attempted to install it. Fairly simple process, but the nut that is supposed to be fixed in the base is stripped and kept spinning at the very start of the install. Absolute waste.

Useful and convenient.Excellent design. Strong. Easy to use. Minimal tools knowledge and effort needed to install. Definitely an upgrade to your original ar-15 grip. Some people think its more ergonomic. Some say less. Most say ita the same but all say its negligible on the ergonomic difference. Definitely would by again for all my future ar-15 builds. All around good buy.

For a first try, this item is very well designed, though not perfect. The form and function are top-notch. Good quality parts, aesthetically very pleasing, simple to install, and reasonably priced. I see F.A.B. Defense as a company that opens possibilities to their users, which is really what I want and I'm willing to make compromises to see this kind of innovation. That being said:
Here is what this device does well:
Provides a stable platform
Excellent shapes and form fitting
Looks pretty badass
Minimal interference with other components (works with my after-market trigger guard and short mags)
Feels incredibly solid
Non uni-body construction allows use of just the grip if desired
And not so well:
The shape can encumber swift and fluid mag changes (I commonly scrubbed my thumb while putting in mags)
No access to grip chamber
The bipod leg storage is sequential (the right leg has to go back first, at least on my copy of this product)
The grip stippling could be more comfortable
For a gen I of this product- it's fantastic. I have several F.A.B. products and it's clear that innovation is a key tenet of their business model.
Sum up- Do you do a lot of gun fighting and need to change mags quickly? Don't get it. Do you like a stable platform to take calm shots but don't want a bipod hanging off the end of your gun? Get it.

Nice fit. It was missing a screw but I was able to find one locally so no real problem. The grip has a good feel to it. Over all very pleased with this item.
Pros:
- I like that I have a bipod on the rifle without adding a lot of weight

Works great! I'd just recommend a 20 round magazine or less.
