Review for
Atrius Development Forced Reset Selector
Picked up through Dvor but I can't see a way to review it there. I haven't run it enough to trust it yet, but so far it is an absolute adrenaline rush.
I put it in my least favorite AR which is a 10 year old Bushmaster XM15 QRC. Not that it is a bad rifle by any means, just one I wouldn't cry over if it blew up. Running a Rise Armament RA-140 drop in trigger, a 5.7 oz (H4?) buffer weight with the rattles inside and a Spikes Tactical progressive rate buffer spring. It seems to cycle a little slower than they sound on all the YouTube videos but that is probably due to the heavy buffer, and honestly, I like that. I feels like it may reduce wear and tear and heat... and it's only cycling a little bit slower. The Bushmaster was a very smooth, low recoil shooter before I added the Selector and it may be smoother now than it would be with the H2/H3 reccomended weights. I haven't compared them yet. I can stay on target pretty well but I'm still getting used to the rapid fire. 10 rounds in C is pretty easy (oh, I'm only at about 15 yards so far because at that distance, the shells land in the leaves which means my wife doesn't complain about the brass all over the grass.) If I can narrow that to the A I'd be very pleased. Considering making a video with a 60 rd. mag so I can time it and run the rpm numbers with various buffer weights. I have an M-16 style, fixed stock Del-Ton rifle with the longer buffer I may try it in as well. Install is easy enough that it won't be a big deal to s

Solid backup sights.
Written on Dec 26, 2025
Replaced some floppy flip up sights, with 45 pic adapters on my S&W FPC with these. Solid build. The detents on the rear adjustments are distinct on mine, and the detent tension looks adjustable, though I have not tried. The rear sight has some significant weight to it. Nice to have one piece 45 sights. I have all the M*Carbo upgrades on my FPC so adding simpler backup sights with the new rear-mount pic rail makes the whole package feel, like I've mentioned before... Solid.

Nifty design from a company I like.

I needed a new light for a new handgun and this one fit the bill. Nitecore isn't high end priced but in my opinion it has high end quality and high end customer service. When I saw it used a magnetic charger, I didn't look any further. I figured it was something like the OLight magnetic setups. It is not. You have to remove the proprietary battery, which is quick-release easy, and then charge it. At first I was a bit bummed until I found they sell that battery for a reasonable price and a two battery charger for an equally reasonable price, so I ordered those. Now I'm pretty happy about the idea. If my light is dead, I don't have to charge it before use, I can swap batteries and let the dead one charge while I go out and play. The adjustability of the pick rail mount lets you get the light snugged back against the trigger guard nicely for whatever handgun you are using I'd suspect. That's another feature OLight also does well, but this one actually seems a little more solid. It isn't too wide either. It will ride on a Tisas PX-5.7 Raptor wich I picked up on the cheap just to experience the 5.7 round. It fits well and looks like the blocking process for when I build the kydex holster will be a breeze. No big, knobby controls. Everything is tight and narrow, even with the laser.

Solid safe, solid design, but it rattles.

I like the mechanism. I like the stealth. I like the color. The only issue I have is the diameter adapters are loose, not to the stock seat-post holes, but to the headrest itself. You would think they would send adapters that fit their own product better. I've added tape wrap and may replace the tape with heat-shrink to reduce the rattling. I am a little concerned about how hard the headrest is as well. The matching headrest is soft. The safe headrest is, of course, hard metal with a thin layer of foam so I'm wondering if it might be a bit dangerous in a colision. It fits a 4" 38 special and a Judge really well. Some full sized handguns like the XD-m Elite don't quite fit. A G19 is no problem.
I've been wanting this setup for a while and am really happy with it but it would be nice if the diameter adapters were a better fit.

The Headrest Safe Co. Matching Companion
Matches my F150 gray interior close enough. Comfy headrest though I don't really rest my head against them. Comfortable addition but may need fitment.

I had no real issue attaching this to a PSA lower (I did tap the lower for the allen screw it came with), but I have a couple of 10 round polymer mags that fit a little too tight. One is FAB defense, not sure of the other brand off-hand. They would insert but wouldn't drop free without prying a bit. I removed a little material from inside this magwell, sanded and polished it out and it works great. Regular metal/Pmags would fit just fine without modding so I can't complain. I need to put more rounds through to comment on the ergonomics but so far I like the close-up grip option while helping to keep my hand off of the magazine itself.

Really nice package deal

I bought this to install on my new G19 and it fits perfectly. Tons of light for such a small package. I have not dialed in the laser yet so I can't comment on how it holds zero yet. As much as my hands shake, I may never know. I have the same brand on my G26 Gen3 and it has been great. What I did not know is this came with three rechargeable batteries and a two battery charger making the deal even sweeter! Very happy as usual.

HERA Arms AR15 Leather Grip
Like another reviewer stated, the design isn't great. As you tighten the screw, the two-piece grip starts to split side to side. The leather is holding the sides together at that point. I'm not going to give up on it though. I may break it down and epoxy the two halves together if that is possible. I got the light tan "natural" version as the dark brown was out. I used a heat gun and Sno-Seal, then Mink oil which gave it a much nicer, richer look. The grip feels nice and offers plenty of purchase. Not sure if that would be true if it got wet. I like the storage option though it is small. Two 5.56 rounds will probably fit. It just needs to be built in one piece or use some sort of fasteners to hold the two halves together. If my epoxy trick works I'll re-review it. I mean, it works and it would probably get some props at the range, but I wouldn't want to depend on it long-term. If I decide to make one of my ARs a wall-hanger behind the bar, I might put it back on then. On a gun-wall it would be sharp. I don't have a gun-wall. Yet.

Very cool idea.

Other than being bulky, I love this grip. When I first installed it there was a little play to the magwell section but there was a place for an extra roll-pin that they didn't include. It wasn't in the instructions so it isn't like they forgot the part. I have several roll pin kits so I found one that fit, ground it to the right length and after installing that the play is gone. This grip is in the way when I try to use my shell catcher (the clip on Brass Goat version) and it does take more space in the safe... but every time I think I'll swap it for another grip, I just can't. It's been on that build for almost 4 years now. I dig it that much. The rifle lives on an ARMA-15 wall mount lock now so the space issue isn't an issue any more. Very comfortable rubber coating and beaver-tail. Moves the weight of a bipod back for better balance while shooting off-hand IMO. It gets compliments too, not that I'm a fan of conversations at the range.
