I am very happy that I bought this Fab defense grip for my Makarov it gives me the ability to change the magazine a lot faster than the original way where you got to press the heel of the magazine and pull out the magazine the old Soviet way it makes the gun more ambidextrous would strongly recommend it

The PM-G was good until mag release lever snap off when connecting to the pistol mag release. Grip ergonomic very good,but will not function properly without PM-G mag release lever.

Just great in all respects. Note: r/h & l/h indicate shooters hand. NOT which side mag release is located.

Makes Makarov better to handle . Beaver tail keeps the slide in check . Would buy again. You can't go wrong with this

If you own a Makrov then you know how stiff all the parts are, especially for seniors with less strength. This grip has greatly improved our ability to release the magazine.

You will not regret buying this. A little difficult to manipulate the tang of the new mag release into the hole of the original mag release but once you do,holy cow, what a difference!

A little hard to install. There are videos online that will help with that though. Totally changes the feel of the pistol. The magazine release takes a little getting used to but nothing a few range trips won't fix. Not perfect for my hand but really the pistol isn't either. It is a big improvement though over the stock configuration.

I love it I will say it’s a very very tight fit lil hard to get on but once it’s on it’s not coming off or slipping around loosely gives it a good feel texture and grip angle still points and feels like a mak!

The grip was a little tight. I had to use my emergency break spring compressor to get it on. After installation was complete, I had to modify the magazine release to get it to work. The metal release would hit the grip and I had to bend it out to clear the grip.
After mods, the grip worked fine. I haven't shot the Makarov after install, but the grip feels fine

I had been considering the purchase of a FAB Defense grip for my Bulgarian Makarov for a long time, but based on some negative reviews online I had never done so. However, when I saw the grip on sale at OpticsPlanet I figured that giving it a try was worth the gamble, so I bought it? Their price was more than reasonable, their site was a "Cakewalk" to navigate and shipping, following the purchase, was extremely quick.

When the grip arrived I found a site on youtube explaining how to install it and to say it went smoothly is a huge understatement. Not only was it easy to install, it looks great and the magazine release mechanism works flawlessly. If someone wasn't familiar with the pistol they would have no idea that it wasn't the original grip and the factory magazine release.

If anyone is thinking about replacing the grip on their Makarov, grab one of these FAB Defense grips; you'll be glad you did.
