Top Quality Receiver
The Faxon Forged Upper Receiver is a perfect match to my Faxon barrel and I will soon purchase the BCG to complete my 6.5 Grendel build. It also matched exactly to my PSA Lower Receiver. The receiver arrived quickly, was exactly as described and was in perfect condition.

What happened to Quality Control?!?
Now had two back-to-back Faxon upper receivers with horrible blemish and tool marks; I received the first one with an inch and a half ugly discoloration blemish on the top of the receiver right near the logo next to the charging handle. Super Faxon quality, forward assist & dust cover included (with upc 816341022027). Bore trued by Faxon. Mil Spec. Used this same upper before and the build was really nice. Very high quality, I would buy again.

Very nice lightweight upper
I paired this upper with a Fortis Manufacturing License 2 lower. Fit is nice and I like the cutouts on the shell deflector. Probably doesn't save a lot of weight but every little bit helps. Going to be adding a ballistic advantage 14.5 in Hanso profile barrel and bravo company lightweight handguard for sort of a CQB type build. Looking forward to seeing how the rifle performs and what my final weight ends up being. With the $47 in opticsplanet bucks I was able to pick up a strike industries lower parts kit basically for free. Sort of a no-brainer for the price.

I bought this Faxon upper to go with my Faxon barrel in 5.56. I put my BCG inside the upper and the BCG rattled around like it was too small. I put other BCGs in the upper and they all rattled around like they were too small. So much for quality control. So much for milspec. I don't think that I will buy anymore Faxon products.

BCG is tight
I had trouble getting a mil-spec charging handle in the slots, then the BCG was tight going in the receiver. I tried a different BCG and it was still tight. My geissele charging handle wouldn’t fit in at all. I have a couple faxon barrels that I liked but the QC on this upper is terrible.

Can’t Beat Faxon
Ordered this upper because of a Faxon barrel I just ordered. The quality and craftsmanship is exceptional. You just can’t beat anything that they make. Their attention to detail and quality of products is noticeably better than others in this price range. Optics Planet normally has Faxon products in stock that are back ordered at the manufacturer’s site. Usually at a better price too!

Great Fit for Lightweight AR Build
Bought this at a great discount and it fits perfectly onto my RnG Centerfire Biathlon lightweight AR build. Definitely recommend!!! if you plan on building lightweight AR on a Budget and still want good parts Faxon is the upper to buy.

Well built upper, very nice fit and finish
The faxon upper is a great product for an outstanding price. They are all diamond honed and all guaranteed to be perpendicular at the barrel attachment which will give whichever barrel you choose the right start down the road to accuracy. If your looking for a great upper receiver for your next build, then this is the one
