These are high dollar rubber bands
These are high dollar rubber bands with a stamp on one side. Very thin, I suspect they won’t last long. The thing I dislike the most is that they only put the caliber on one side of the band. You cannot see what caliber it is from both sides. Just order you some wide rubber bands, and write on them with a ball point pen.
excellent quality
Excellent quality always has been. Optics planet is one of the best apps for parts

Rotten after two years
I thought these were a good idea and didn't think of possible issues when purchased. These rubber bands rotted and fell apart after two years in storage. They also roll up if inserting or removing from mag pouches. Sticky rubber makes using mag pouches slower and more difficult. Electrical tape and a sharpie is cheaper and lasts longer.

Expensive rubber band
This is no more than an expensive rubber band with printing on one side. Save your money. Buy a bag of rubber bands and a sharpie. These are not the embossed silicone bands. Just simply a rubber band with cheap print on one side only.
Pros:
- Simple
Cons:
- Rubber band will deteriorate in a short period
- printing rubs off easily
Best Used for:
- At least they can be color coded
Would recommend: No
Simple solution
These are a great simple solution for ammo identification. I purchased the 5.56 and 300 blackout bands. No more double checking the casing before use. You ca also turn them inside out and use a sharpie for other calibers.

Good reference
Yea I know they are technically just large colored rubber bands with labels on them, but they are helpful for a quick visual reference/reminder so mags don’t get mixed up. They are cheap and you get several of them. A much better option than painting your mags in my opinion. I also wrap one around the brace on my AR pistol so the gun and mags are color coded.
Pros:
- Cheap
- visual
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- quick reference

Expert? Did faxon change what they were doing
I checked the description and pictures but it was unclear if the caliber was marked on both sides of the band (so you could read on both sides when placed on a magazine) but fear not an expert review says it is. Well either they lied or faxon quit putting it on all the way around. Does not seem to be better than colored rubber band and a stamp or decent penmanship(which I dont have)
Pros:
- Color matches
Cons:
- Expensive
- One sided printing
- Unclear description
- False information in reviews
Best Used for:
- Identification

Faxon marker Bands
These bands are helpful for quick acquisition of mags loaded with the appropriate ammo.. I run both 300 blk and 556 uppers at the range and it helps keep things straight and safe. I also put a small dot of paint on the magwell that matches the band and it helps me keep it clear when we run drills. They seem to be well made and strong.
Pros:
- Quality
- safety
- Useful accessory
Cons:
- None so far
Best Used for:
- Safety with multiple uppers
Would recommend: Yes
