Most Helpful Positive Review 88361: Uncle Mike'sLaw Enforcement Double Mag Case
I have used these mag pouches for many years. one lasted me about 12 years and then needed replacement. When I placed it the new one was of less quality but still pretty good, but got damaged which would never have happned to the older one with stronger nylon. Also the snaps on my first replacement a couple of years back did not hold up well but broke after about 6 months to a year. I bought a Tru-Spec brand case 6 months ago to replace my Uncle mike's. Worst piece of junk ever was that tru-Spec - it literally fell apart not only at the seams but in the weave of the nylon. So I have gone back ...

Uncle Mike's Law Enforcement Fitted Pistol Magazine Pouches w/ Insert #8817-2

by ANDY, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on September 19, 2020
The pouch appears to be well made, good secure belt loop attached, secure front snap.
Big, big problem, the pouch pocket is way too deep for the double stack 9mm. magazines. Only a very very small end of the the magazine barely sticks out. If you ever have to get the magazine out in an emergency, (that's why we carry a second magazine,) no way will that ever happen. If you stuff tissues down the bottom of the pouch that will work but the length of the pouch is still way too long to wear on the outside. A SIX inch overall length pouch, for just a THREE inch length magazine. The pouch will be good for a collapsible baton.
If there were a much smaller pouch out there for just a double stack 9mm magazine, that's what I am really interested in. I am reluctantly returning the one I recently purchased.

Fails when you count on it

by JR, from MI, United States Written on July 20, 2019
Purchased one for use on my 2" range belt, and used for about 6 months with no problems. Then went to shoot qualification and the darn thing BROKE and FELL OFF my belt! This is definitely not a product I would feel safe counting upon on a daily basis.
Best Used for:
  • occassional/light use only

Good fit for 9mm single stack magazines

by JEM, from NM, United States Written on November 4, 2017
I bought the Law Enforcement style double magazine pouch for single stack magazines. I intended to use it for the 8 round 10mm magazines which fit my Ruger SR1911 pistol. The pouches have an internal flat spring which provides tension to hold the magazines securely without rattling. The flaps which cover the magazine are attached inside the pouch with hook and loop fasteners. This allows the flaps to be adjusted for different length magazines. With my 10mm magazines, the flaps can be extended to accommodate some 9 round (but not 10 round) magazines. The pouches are well made and sturdy. The pouches provide good protection for the magazines.

Because of the way the flap fits inside of the pouch, it takes up some of the space available for the magazine. The internal flap attachment combined with the internal spring make for a pretty tight fit for my 10mm magazines. After opening the flap, it is pretty difficult to remove the magazine quickly and smoothly using only one hand. I think the fit would be impossibly tight with single stack .45 ACP magazines, but it is just about perfect with single stack 9mm magazines. The overly tight fit with 10mm and .45 magazines is the only reason I did not give this product 5 stars.

The flap is lightly padded, so it is possible that the padding in the flap may eventually get compressed enough to get a looser fit. The internal spring may also loosen up some. But as it is now, the pouch is suitable for carrying 10 mm magazines in the ...

Uncle Mike and OP

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on July 10, 2013
OP had the product at a decent price when many other sellers were out of stock.
Pros: Better than average product. Above average availability from OP.
Cons: Pricing from OP is what to expect from a re-seller.

A bit bulky, otherwise a good product

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 16, 2011
A great price. Magazines fit snug but not tight. Just a bit tall for my magazines and the cover strap a bit bulky.
Pros: Price, retaining spring, solid construction
Cons: A bit tall for M&P 9 MM dbl stack
