Most Helpful Positive Review great value for a FLIR system
I got this FlIR unit and powered it up immediately. I wanted this for hunting so that I didn't have to point my night vision scope at things I didn't want to shoot, and this unit fits the bill. It is lightweight, portable, and easy to use. I first tried it out in town the night I got it. Church is d...

Most Helpful Negative Review Expensive toy that is not worth $2000.
This is an expensive toy that is not worth $2000. I tried it out in the park at night and could hardly see the ducks on the lake and even though it was dark I could see them with my own eyes. Useless in the city where there is a lot of heat sources especially after sundown. I can't believe FLIR char...

Looking of the right tool

by jrjunky, from IN, United States Written on December 15, 2014
I am a police officer and work third shift. I had been looking for the right tool to see through the dark. I have a set of night vision but when you are looking for someone who has fled then typically they are bedded down and hiding and that made it very difficult to locate them using standard night vision. I began to research Thermal Imaging and had been back and forth between the Flir unit and a Pulsar unit. I ended up with Flir due to their market dominance and ability to take care of any issues (should they arise) later on.

I've been using the Flir nightly for the last couple of weeks and have been completely pleased. It currently has temps varying from 10 degrees all the up to 50 degrees an have already been very successful with it. It has wonderful resolution and clarity. I used to have a Thermal Eye X50 unit and this is leagues above it in clarity as well. I love the red hot feature, which is one of the most useful features when looking single hot items and scanning.

Overall I would recommend this product in a minute to anyone looking.

Clear true THERMAL imager

by DNVRDave, from CO, United States Written on September 12, 2014
I have been very pleased with this item. It has almost no start up time, is very easy to manipulate, very lightweight, and works like a charm! I've got a graphics business and we are the only US distributor for a thermal reflective vinyl. So, this item will be used to show how the new vinyl can be used on Law Enforcement vehicles for identification from a helicopter using their FLIR. So, pretty neat stuff for sure.

FLIR PS 24

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on May 11, 2013
This was bought from 'Night Vision Australia' in York St., Sydney for Club useage. Bit of a mix-up with seller over non-availability of a head-mount. They said there was none and then advertised them (at no increased price) in SSAA 'Australian Shooter' Magazine for 3 months after we had purchased it already! Notified seller of discrepancy but no cogent reply as yet (1 week) except that they felt "insulted".....
Pros: Easy to use, has standard camera-tripod screw-mount point.
Cons: 'Auto-off ' feature annoying. No head-mount available.

Exactly what you need, and nothing more.

This IS the ticket. I wanted a device that I could take camping/outdoors to see what was going on in the dark. I played with some Gen2+ NVIS devices, and while those are great for seeing DETAIL at night, nothing compares to seeing squirrels playing in the leaves in pitch black, over 200' away. You must have one of these.
Pros: Size, weight, build feel. Easy to use, no complex menus.
Cons: No replaceable battery.
