Solid Product - INCORRECT PRODUCT LISTING
This upper and bolt are well constructed and I expect it to run as well as any of their Foxtrot Mike products. HOWEVER, the item pictured is a 5" barrel with a 4" handguard. It was only on the invoice (this detail is not on the product page) where it is indicated the upper has a 5" handguard. I won't berate FM Products, but it's more than irritating that something so simply careless and negligent could lead to such a headache for me. In my case, a 4" handguard was relevant to the ability to mount a tri-lug adapter for a suppressor. So that small detail was what I picked the product for!
Not as pictured
What you receive is different from what is pictured. I received a barrel outfitted with a blast diffuser, not the one shown with the tri-lug barrel. This has become a problem since i planned to mount a suppressor. The barrel shown would have worked, but the barrel received is recessed underneath the handguard, so i’ll either need a different barrel or a different handguard.

great upper, errors in listing
It's a great upper. Ran flawlessly with zero failure to feed, failure to eject etc in first couple hundred rounds.
Listing says the muzzle threads are one half by 36 which is actually incorrect as I bought a 1/2 by 36 tri-lug which would not thread on. Tried one half by 28 and it went on right away with no resistance.
Correct thread pitch is 1/2 by 28. Docking two stars because of that as I had everything I thought I needed on build day and did not because of this error

FM-9 5" upper receiver
Received this and put first round in and it jammed the bcg.So got it broke loose and round was stuck in bcg would not reject. Had to fire the one round to get it out which was probably not safe. Spoke with customer service with optics planet which I purchase from regular and was told they could not help that I had to reach out to manufacturer. This was same week I received the item. I feel this should have been addressed differently and sent somewhere I didn't purchase from.

Worked great, only about 200 rounds so far but flawless. Accurate as can be expected for a short barrel. I put a dot on it. Small and easy to point.

- Better charge handle is a must. On par for price point. No dust/dirt cover on ejection port.

Foxtrot Mike is a great product!
I have three in different lengths. Crazy accurate and I have not had one malfunction out of any of them yet. Waiting for tax stamp to suppress a ten and 5 inch barrel. So much fun! Used Sig Romeo 5, foxtrot king slayer, foxtrot sentinel. All 3 zeroed in in 4 or less rounds at 10 yards. Used mp5s for years on swat. These are just as accurate and I like the point ability better. Very happy!
