Solid replacement/upgrade for FM charging handles
So, first, if you have an FM Gen 1 polymer trolley (charging handle action rod), this will not work properly. You need to upgrade to the steel trolley. It works properly with the Gen 1 steel trolley and the Gen 2 steel trolley.
I prefer the upward 45° angle to the FM Paratrooper charging handle (the folding option). This product centers the finger/hand very close to the axis of the trolley, resulting in a highly efficient transfer of force. The folding charging handle moves the point of contact further away from the axis of the trolley, resulting in more torque and less linear force than this handle.
The handle is small enough I haven't had problems with it catching on anything.
The construction is solid steel. It is a very sturdy part.
