Fun to shoot
I purchased the 10" barrel Mike-9mm upper receiver, Paired it with the new ambidextrous polymer lower. They make a great team & using the front charging handle just makes shooting more fun. Eats all of the ammo i have thrown at it.
Out of battery
Less than 100 rounds in and had an out of battery detonation causing the extractor to break off the bcg. Upper has never cycled 10 round reliably. Contacting FM to see about warranty work.

Very nice upper . well built, wayne have a couple hundred rounds through it so far with no problem.. I set it up with the suppressor the only thing I think is weird is its 1/2 x36 threads. Should be 1/2x28 I just had to buy a different adapter. Accuracy. Seems pretty good out of a 5 inch barrel. This is my second foxtrot Mike’s upper they make quality products. I would recommend this.

1/2-28 threads!!!
My upper shipped with 1/2-28 threads. I couldn’t get my 1/2-36 obsidian mount to screw on. Tried my rugged occulus with 1/2-28 and it went on perfect. Cost me an extra $70 for a new direct mount. So that sucks.

Mike-9 complete upper
The FM Mike-9 upper appears to be well crafted. The fit and finish is excellent and everything functions as it should.

FM9 complete upper 5" barrel
The upper seems to be very good quality and it comes with the bcg and ch. Some "complete" uppers don't! It fit on a cheap radical lower I had but that's the only lower I tested. I assume it will work with others but can't verify. The upper does have a notch that aligns with the rail to keep it from twisting. I bought some mean arms endomags but haven't tried them yet. I hope they work well to avoid needing an ar9 dedicated lower. The only issue I have is the summary says the thread pattern is 1/2x36 but upon receiving the item it's 1/2x28. I want to shoot it suppressed and I bought a 1/2x36 hub which I have to return because it will not work this upper despite what its description says. Overall seems like a good deal compared to other ar9 uppers. I hope the 5" barrel is somewhat accurate and maybe with a can I'll squeeze out a bit more velocity.
