This holster is highly adjustable and can be quickly fitted to either a slotted-belt or paddle style attachment. The materials are first-class and it is difficult for me to imagine many situations or uses that would cause the bindings and/or mechanisms to break or fail.

That having been said, the rigidity of the holster's materials will likely produce wear marks on most firearm finishes that I am aware of. While this is a common result with snug/custom-fitting retainment holsters, it is a point worth making that one should purchase the Fobus holster with 'business' and function in mind rather than expecting it to be appropriate for 'collector' or competition-type weapons.

The holster was very accurately designed and built to the dimensions of my S&W MP40, which is equipped with a Viridian X5L laser-sight. With practice and a slight breaking-in period, the side draw from this holster proves to be consistent and predictable, yet robust in terms of retention.

Overall, it has met my expectations and was by and large worth its price.

Cons: Hard shell abrasive to slide/barrel finish (creates wear marks)

Holds the gun securely.
Very sturdy.
