Most Helpful Negative Review Gave up trying to stabilize the mount to the Barrel Nut.
I bought this a while back. Beautiful style and construction. Problem is a standard GI Barrel nut doesn't have enough area to provide a solid mount. Fortis rev ll rail

This rail is oustanding it is strong well machined and has a mounting design i prefer where it uses a standard barrel nut and clamps onto that no crazy design tht u have to time 3 diff thngs. I usally only use centurion rails but wanted to try this because it mounts in a similar way and i am impressed. They are pricey but well worth it. If u want somthing strong and super easy to mount this is it.

Solid rail

Bought this to go on a barrel that i shaved the a2 fsb down on. Needed a rail that used the standard barrel nut and this fit the bill. Very happy as it is very solid and is aesthetically pleasing as well. A bit pricey, but i believe that its solid enough to warrant the price tag. Very happy overall

Fortris rev rail for stock barrel nut. Has a great fit and finish also easy to install. Fits stock ar15 upper does not fit f1 uppers.. The free shipping from optics plant and great customer service made the purchase that easy..

Lightweight and sturdy

This is my 3rd Fortis Rev rail. They are super light weight, versatile and sturdy. I try to use them for all my railed ar builds. Optics planet customer service is great, shipping is fast and most of all the price was better than elsewhere.

I own several Fortis rails and they always fit perfectly and look great! I build a lot of AR's and these are my go to. Reasonably priced for the quality you get. I also use their brakes and optics mounts.

Everything I wanted, but one thing.

It doesn't fit the Aero Precision enhanced upper receiver which requires a BAR type hand guard. What a pity because when I received it I was in love! The way it felt in the hands was natural and solid. The design of the hand guard is gorgeous! Even my wife thought it was pretty haha! If Fortis were to make a BAR type hand guard I wouldn't hesitate to buy it! Their quality is top notch, and if you don't have an enhanced upper receiver from Aero Precision then this is THE hand guard to have!

Cons:
  • Price but worth it
  • does not fit bar type upper receiver

  • mil spec upper receiver

Great fit and finish

The handguard fit is perfect. No gaps and a seamless connection between handguard and upper. Make sure to get a good barrel nut tool my all in one armorer wrench was getting good enough traction but that was easily solved with a dedicated barrel nut tool. Getting another one for the other 7.5" build most definitely. Don't hesitate and buy this already!

works as advertised

Easy install and locks up solid. I am old school and would prefer a quad rail, don't really like key mod or m-lok. I've had problems with midwest and centurion is way expensive. This one had zero install problems, locks up solid to a standard barrel nut and is really light.
