Gave up trying to stabilize the mount to the barrel nut. - Fortis Manufacturing REV II Free Float Rail System

I bought this a while back. Beautiful style and construction. Problem is a standard GI Barrel nut doesn't have enough area to provide a solid mount. I've tried Rockset, and the glue that comes with a Midwest Industries hand guard. I can squeeze the hand guard against the barrel and it will shift. If all you want is a pretty gun, then it's OK. But it's not stable enough to hold a zero with Iron sights.
