308 Ammo Box
I don't go over board buying expensive ammo boxes. These work just fine and are the same as other brands that are made and look exactly the same. That cost twice as much. Thank you optics planet and FA for putting out such a good product.
Pros: Quality construction, good price
308 Ammo Box
I ordered two of these style ammo boxes, one for 30-06 and this one for 308. The 30-06 worked perfectly, but the one I got for 308 wouldn’t close properly when it contained that caliber ammo. Perhaps the 243 would fit, but the box was not tall enough for 308.
Pros:
- Great construction and value
Cons:
- Not tall enough for 308
Best Used for:
- 243 or smaller.

Junk for holding ammo.
Covers will NOT stay on, you must tape down the covers or your rounds will be all over your bag by the time you get to the range. I have converted these to reloading shell holders and have basically discarded the covers.

Terrible design
Hard to get lid off at first, no release to separate the top and bottom. Lid don't stay on very well once you add the ammo(the cases purpose), very loose. Have to be careful picking up, can't grab from the top.

Great ammo box
Excellent service and excellent price and excellent product. Easily opened with one hand and also stackable. See through makes identifying ammo a snap. I bought different colors for different ammunition

I prefer this brand to some others
I do a lot of load work ups, which means for me, five shot groups at several different and increasing powder weights. Thus the 20 count cases are perfect for me and most other hand loaders. All the plastic case manufacturer's products are usable. I just prefer the Frankford Arsenal case to their main competitor only because the bottom of their cover piece is not "notched out" like other brands. Notched tops always seem to catch on the sides of the bottom piece when trying to cover your rounds, while the F.A. design does not. I prefer not to use the grey color cases since they are not as easy to see through. You can see your bullet count more easily with the other color choices, but all are more than acceptable.

Ammo boxes
Boxes are very good. Hinge seem sturdy, holds 308 rounds nice and snug. Rounds seem well protected will not damage the bullets or allow for set back. The price was outstanding can not ask for anything better unless they are free.
Pros:
- Price and construction with the warranty.
Cons:
- Need several months of use to find any.

Frankford Arsenal 243-308 20,50 and 100ct. Ammo Boxes
These are by far the best value in ammo boxes. They are a no frills, well constructed and long lasting.I have used other brands and they too work well but these are priced much lower. If you buy a bunch, it will make a significant difference.

Nice quality and size.
These boxes are perfect for the surplus ammo or reloading shooter.
I Bought a bunch and will buy more.
I would recommend to everyone considering these products.
They are nice sized and not too big and bulky and a waste of unused space.

Frankford Arsenal 243-308 20,50 and 100 ct Ammo Box
You get what you pay for, as said many times in history. I had purchased mostly MTM ammo boxes and very happy with them. But I figured I try these lesser expensive ones. When I received the shipping box and opened it, half of the Frankford Ammo Box hinges were broke or so weak that I afraid that opening and closing them more then a couple of times that they would break . I'll use them and most likely tape them if more of them break at the hinge area. The MTM are very well built and will last much longer. They are all built in the USA , where as the Frankford Boxes are made in China. I never could understand why things made in these cheap labor countries are built poorly.
