great media sifter
I purchased this media sifter for use with stainless steel media and a Thumlers tumbler to clean handgun cartridges. It works perfectly for this purpose. It is easy to assemble, sturdy, and has a very secure latch. I had paid twice this much for another brand sifter for use with corncob media that had very flimsy construction compared with the Frankford sifter. It fits a standard 5-gallon bucket (I bought the one with the bucket, though, since it is shorter and fits in a sink better). An added bonus are wings that can be attached to keep media from flying out of the sifter while turning i...

Must have to separate brass
I got this to use with stainless media and my own bucket. I used the included bucket mounting tabs for a while then drilled my own 1-1/8” holes in a 5 gallon bucket and made one of the hole open to the top of the bucket with a hacksaw. This allowed me to put the stub end into a hole and the handle end into the slot—much more stable than the tabs which hold the separator above the bucket. I would be flustered separating stainless pins from brass without this—absolutely worth the cost. Also buy the magnet for separating media, that’s handy for picking up the pins which hit the ground, for whatever reason.

effective and cheap
While not the sturdiest it is sufficient. Don't over load and it works great.
Both dry and wet media are easily separated from brass with a few turns. Having the bucket full of water helps remove SS pins while rinsing brass. Then a few turns over an empty bucket removes most of the water. Easy Pezy

Frankford Arsenal Quick-n-EZ Rotary Sifter Kit
Wet media of any type needs to be dried first or you end up with a mess. Add a case drier if you can swing the extra cost. Used this for the first time with dry stainless pins, it works like a champ. You need to rotate the basket slooowly or media can go all over the place even with the guards in place.

Skip The Bucket and Modify One From Your Hardware Store
This is the second Frankford Rotary Sifter I purchased. This one will be used for wet tumbling and the other is reserved for dry. They both work well for my purposes.
The included bucket pivot clips and clip on shields are not great. The pivot clips do tend to slide around some and the shields are kind-of in the way. I recommend skipping the bucket option and getting one from your local hardware or restaurant; 5 gallon sized is what I use. Others have added a screw to the pivot clips to hold them in place which is OK but doesn't address the issue with the shields. Instead, remove the handle from the bucket. Use a hole saw a bit larger than the basket pivots to drill a hole in the bucket where the handles were attached (assures the holes are 180 degrees apart). Use a saw to create a slot to the top edge of the bucket the same width as the hole you just drilled. With this simple modification, the basket drops into the bucket several inches eliminating the need for the shields and keeps the basket centered in the bucket for easy turning.

Awesome for SS Media
Does it job very well. If you fill it with water while straining SS media a few quick turns forward and back will generally remove every pin from 223 and 308 brass. I very rarely will find 2 pins lodged in a flash hole but this is at no fault of the sifter. This kit is well worth the money!
Pros: Easiest way to sift SS media
Cons: Handle not heavy duty but works well.
