Frankford arsenal Intelli-dropper
I have had this scale for about 2 years. In that two years I probably loaded around 6000 rounds of pistol up to magnum rifle loads using the intelli-dropper. Every thing from 5 grains of Tightgroup to 85 grains of IMR 4831. I have had no problems with this machine. I have had some over charges a...

I really, REALLY wanted this unit to be fantastic.
However, I cannot, in good conscience even give it an OK rating. Currently I am returning my second unit to Optics Planet. The first unit I purchased would not connect to any bluetooth device I owned. The scale was adequate. It measured accurately, and the powder calibration feature worked like ...

FA Intellidropper
Showed up on time, unpacked it, leveled it out(man my bench is out of whack), calibrated it, and boom: off and running. Heard about some issues with this model as well as some.moxed reviews, but so far, so good here. The app works well, the scale is bang on with my balance scale, and it gives accurate loads.

Intlli-dropper
Works great no problems. Loaded 100 cases the day I received it with no problems whatsoever highly recommend.

Frankford Arsenal Reloading Tools / Powder Measure Digital Powder Intelli-dropper
Super Easy to setup and use. I primarily purchased for the scale to weigh out shells to confirm my Lee Powder measure loads.
Once I get a better handle on that I will be using to check/weigh different loads.

so far so good
I've only used my new powder drop a week or so. But so far i really like it. Very accurate, checked against another scale. My preference is to use with mobile app. The buttons on the unit require too hard a press.

shooting preacher
I have now used the Frankford Arsenal intellidropper to load roughly 150 rounds 308 and 270 out of 150 rounds I had two overcharges I think that's pretty good I would highly recommend this for the price and the quality I've used a balance beam and A trickler all my life this intellidropper really saves the arthritis in my arm again I highly recommend it

First Experience with Frankford - Had high hopes at that price point, but...
Well, I'm not going to be rude to FA as some have been, but equipment manufacturers need honest feedback to improve their products.
Here goes...Pros: The ergonomics are good, if a bit oversized. Powder capacity is awesome, 2K gns. The keypad and electronic controls are large and easy to use. Weight and powder calibration process work well and is straight forward. Powder distribution is relatively quick and the trickle process works well.
Cons: Hang on to your hats reloaders...The leveling process is a bit of a defect in my opinion. Must keep front legs totally collapse and back legs totally extended to come close to level. I'm confident this isn't by design. The 'twist to pour' powder return nozzle is a great idea, but doesn't operate as efficiently as it could. You must be exacting, or powder spills occur. Had to use a motor oil drain pan with pour spout to consistently return powder to its container. Set the unit in the drain pan, drain the unused powder, then use the pouring spout on drain pan to return unused powder to its original container. You could elevate it and use a larger mouthed container. The drive motor whines and is noisy.
All in all, you can find a workaround that will overcome all I've listed above, but this primary deficiency makes this unit unacceptable and the unit will be returned because of it. The electronic scale that triggers and controls the process doesn't hold its calibration. It quickly drifts. After a few discharges, the scale be...

2 years of owning and its a paper weight
Bought this a couple years back and when I first got it, it worked great. The Bluetooth ability is awesome, storing charges is great. Now in year 2, scale drifts like no ones business, 20 charges in and I have to recalibrate. 50 charges in is when it starts acting up. Gives error beeps, low charge throws, clears out when pressing continue, power down to reset it, recalibrate, then after 5 throws it starts all over again. Contacted FA customer service when it all started, no call backs, no email returns. Silence.
Find something else. At least a company that calls you back to tell you that you are SOL at least.

Works well but there is touchscreen problems
The scale works really well. I just used it for load development where chronographed speeds using this scale had extreme spreads of 1 to 16 fps on loads. I put 4 stars due to the touchscreen not working no matter what I do. Luckily the phone app works and it works really well but I would really like the touchscreen to work. I reached out to Frankford Arsenal and haven't received a reply yet.
Pros:
- Price
- accuracy
- Phone app
Cons:
- Reliability issue
