Good basic ankle holster
I use this holster with a Ruger LCP about 4 days a week without problems. It's comfortable enough for me while driving the car or walking the roads with our dog. Simple and quick to put on, take off or draw pistol. As with any ankle holster, access to firearm is limited; however, it does the job ...

Very disappointed
I am very disappointed with this holster! Here in Brazil is very hard to find american made holsters, and I did pay a lot for shipping and taxes, almost 100% of the original cost. The Galco COP ankle band holster slides down every step and hurts your foot. Maybe with a lightweight handgun it work`s ...

Gets the job done ...
I was looking for backup carry of a Ruger LCP II (other than pocket carry) and decided to give this a try. If your calf/ankle area is pushing the large size, that 13 inches doesn't leave a lot of velcro to attach the holster snugly. Galco should offer a simple extender (the one they offer with the suede is overkill for somebody looking to just have a snug fit). I solved that problem by taking a quality neoprene can coozie, cutting the bottom off and cutting up the side at the stiching. Picked up a velcro tab from Hobby Lobby, cut to size and sewed the velcro pieces on each end of the coozie strip. Works great (the coozie I used was black so matches original holster material). The holsters padding is comfortable and helps pressure point on the inside of the leg area. Strap retainer is plenty long (no doubt to accommodate how different pistols fit) but you can trim that with scissors to fit desired size. One other thing to fix ... there is a button snap at the top of the retention strip which is metal. The back is unprotected which means it's going to rub your gun frame/slide area. I had some of those felt circular patches (Home Depot or Lowes has them) used for placing on the bottom of chairs to protect floors, problem solved - covers the back of the button and protects gun. With the above modifications, the gun fits snug and comfortable enough to forget you have it on.

Not bad, but not great.
I really wanted a holster with a neoprene band. My DeSantis didn't have one and the elastic wore out at about 8 years. This Galco is really comfortable. The padding is nice, the neoprene strap keeps it tight, and it looks like a good holster. Would be a five star, but I didnt like the strap that holds the gun in. For the price of the holster, I feel it is too cheap. It is just cheap velcro and the velcro goes the entire length of the strap, so you can feel the vecro and hear it rubbing on the gun. I replaced it with my DeSantis strap, which is much nicer. If I bought this Galco holser, I would look to replace this again.
Pros:
- Quality, versatility, modifiable, adjustable, heavy load bearing capacity
Cons:
- None

Wrong size.
I couldn't use the holster for my Walther ccp. The trigger guard couldn't fit into the opening for the gun.
I emailed the factory and explained it to them. The lady emailed me that she tried a Walther ccp and it fit fine. I can't explain it. So I returned the holster.

Not as good as I expected.
There is not enough padding between the weapon and the bone and it feels like it digs into my bone. I'm gonna try the extender and calf strap to see if that helps. Other than that, it seems like a good product.
Pros: Affordable, holds weapon snug
Cons: Very uncomfortable

Good, affordable concealed carry option
This is an excellent choice for affordable back-up weapon. While wearing concealed, leaves a very small, if any, indication of wearing a concealed weapon.
Pros: Very affordable, comfortable and concealable
Cons: May need to purchase the sock garter

fits lcp well, needs mods for crimson trace
This fits the LCP perfectly but I had to move the seam under the trigger guard to fit the Crimson Trace I installed. The gun stuck too far out with the laser on it.

Could have been perfect
Just 5 degrees of forward cant would provide better concealability. I have a normal "man" leg, not a twiggy, starving farmer leg. I am not fat, not thin. Although I can close it securely enough without the "extension", anyone weighing more than 200 lb will likely need it (unless you carry it all above your belt).
Pros: Very secure, fits right under my calf
Cons: Short, retainer strap, no cant

My 1st Ankle Holster
Being my 1st I can't compare to others. It fits great and does what it says it does! I just don't like that it slides down when you walk. This might be unavoidable.
Pros: this size fits a few of my firearms
Cons: slides down and as you sit can be exposed

Galco COP Ankle Band Holsters
I have worn this holster 3 to 4 times a week for aprox. 12 hrs a day. I had only 1 incident where the thumb snap came open when I was walking in heavy brush, but the pistol remained in the holster. I would recomend that if you use this holster and work in a wooded area that you find another location and holster to carry your pistol in.
Pros: Comfortable when worn over a boot.
Cons: Some discomfort when worn directly on ankle.

CAB2XS: Galco COP Ankle Band Holsters
This is my second Galco ankle holster that I have purchased. The first one was the CAB2S for a revolver and has held up great. I expect this one (for my auto) to do the same.
Pros: Compact, sturdy material
Cons: Strap could be wider for going around boots
