Very nice leather
I bought this for my Marlin 1895SBL 45-70 Gov't. Its much more fitting than the synthetic sling I had on previously. The leather is 2-ply with a top smooth dyed layer and on the bottom a natural rough-out that together are 1/4" thick. I wear mine with the adjustable setting at maximum length (I'm 6'2" 208lbs). Being leather you can easily make some more holes with an awl and hammer. The only real drawback to this sling is that its really not field adjustable because you have to unscrew brass fittings with a flathead to loosen or tighten, but in all honesty I can't really imagine a scenari...

GREAT SLINGS!!!
I looked at a lot of slings and was just not happy with quality and construction. I ordered 2 of these and they are awesome! Very durable and strong construction. Great looking too, yet simple and not gawdy. OpticsPlanet delivered fast as always. I will be ordering more for sure. Highly recommend.

Galco RS9 leather rifle sling
Good quality sling... true for most Galco products. I am using it on a Springfield
SOCOM 16, .308 semi auto rifle. It is sturdy, looks great, and is exactly what I
Had in mind for shoulder or back/cross body carry. It is not a tactical sling, and takes
A little time and effort to adjust length, and is a bit stiff for use as a primary shooting support.
I would heartily recommend it for the purpose it serves best.

Galco Rs9 Rifle Sling
What is there to say about a rifle sling. If you want lasting quality leather that will last forever this is the sling for you. I just purchased this sling for my collectable Winchester 30/30 lever action and I would not trust carrying it on my should to the cheaper nylon or synthetic slings. Been there done that and never again. The gun smith notesd what a fine piece of leather this was. Great Product! Steve

Excellent Quality and Value
Bought this sling for my 10/22 LVT and couldn't be happier with the quality of the construction. The leather has a rich cordovan hue to it that, once broken-in, is a perfect complement to the birch wood stock and silver tapered bull barrel on the rifle. The width is adequately comfortable, with the ends tapering down to 1" for a perfect fit on the stock sling swivels. At this price point, the Galco RS9 Rifle Sling represents an excellent value for people looking for fine leather slings to dress up their rifles.

RS9C Sling
Installed on Beeman air rifle and forward sling swivel is mounted to barrel. Overall sling length is marginal for this application, but, should be fine for shorter rifles/applications.
Pros: Simple
Cons: May be short for longer rifles/applications
