Most Helpful Positive Review STINGER HOLSTER FOR WALTHER PPS
I TRIED SEVERAL HOLSTERS FOR PPS AND THIS IS BEST. BEAUTIFUL FINISH ON QUALITY LEATHER. Pros: VERY CONCEALABLE Cons: NONE
Most Helpful Negative Review Does what it says.
I have many Galco holsters, not as comfortable as I have come to expect from them. The belt anchor points are to close together and allows the holster to feel as if it doesn't stay in place on my belt. Pros: Fits the Gun Cons: Not Galco's best design

Perfect holster

by SV, from WI, United States Written on April 3, 2019
This holster is perfect. Inside the pant holsters are not for me. This has a nice belt loop. It is sturdy and comfortable. Galco seems to make a quality product for a fair price. I would recommend it.
Pros:
  • nice belt loop

  • non

Pistol retention

by Rerun, from MI, United States Written on March 3, 2019
I've been carrying a snob nose .38 in this holster for.7 years and never had an issue with coming out. Im a very active type and whrn on my motorcyle it gives me great cover and concealment and easy access. Doesnt ride as high as the combatmaster that I also own but I would and do recomend it.

Galco's Stinger

by Jay, from AR, United States Written on January 7, 2018
Pretty nice holster overall that you don't have to wait weeks to get. I'd preferred to have purchased Galco's Combat Master holster but they didn't have it for my application, (left hand for a S&W M&P Shield M2.0). You need a good heavy belt to run this holster or it will flop around. It does move a lot even with a good belt due to the tunnel designed belt loop, but that's not a bad thing as you can adjust for comfort when sitting. One major con is that it rides low and will expose itself unless wearing a long shirt tail or jacket. If you need a modestly priced leather holster and need it quick, buy it.
Pros:
  • fast delivery
Cons:
  • Rides low
Best Used for:
  • Concealed Carry and Range

A very nice minimalist OWB CC holster for the Walther PPS M2

by CAMPJEEP, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on July 15, 2017
Good quality OWB holster for everyday carry.
The better of a belt you wear with the stinger the better it will serve you.
This is a smooth black finished minimalist holster with a slight forward cant that is stylish but practical, it lets your clothing easily hang over and conceals nicely.
Feels good, very concealable and stable to myself carrying at 3 o'clock even with the 8 round magazine.

It has a snug single canted tunnel style belt loop that is a 1 1/2 inch but it was all I could do to get my 1 1/2inch Hanks Extreme (17oz) thick Leather Gun Belt in the loop but it loosened up within a day or two but it really keeps the unit from moving anywhere, the (14 oz) Leather belt fits better.
It is slightly easier to re-holster than the Desantis (Pancake) Speed Scabbard Holster but both are very nice holsters.
I think the Galco Stinger is a single formed (one piece) of leather and the mouth stays opened better for re-holstering a little more for myself.

I am using it with a Walther PPS M2 and I think using it with anything larger than the PPS with that single tunnel style belt loop after extended use might not be as stable. I can sit down anywhere and not have to worry about the PPS catching on a arm of a chair or anything like the Desantis Speed Scabbard Holster. The Desantis Speed Scabbard secures the weapon a little better though.

Carrying the Galco Stinger (OWB) at 3 or 4 o'clock --->

Very Nice Leather Holster

by Big D, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 12, 2017
I purchased this holster for my wife. I am a fan of the kydex holsters but my wife prefers leather over plastic. The appears to be very well made. The stitching is well done. Its keeps its shape very well, allowing for easy insert of the gun. As with all leather stuff, it needs to be broke-in a little to loosen its hold around the run for easier access but a very good holster. I believe I got a good value for my money.
Pros:
  • durable
  • well made
  • Fits Gun Well
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • general

Tom Hartill

Perfect fit, holds gun tightly and releases with just a little pressure. Rides in a good spot on your hip. I have an LC9 in it and I would recommend anyone with an LC9 to give this a try. I have other Galco holsters and every one has been great so far.

Great Option

by Dag, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on April 9, 2016
Love Galco. Love their Stinger for small semis. This one was for an M 85 revolver and I am surprised that they didn't make it just a tad deeper for enhanced balance and retention. Might just take some getting used to, but it feels a bit "floppy" at a 4-5 o'clock position.
Pros:
  • Quality materials/workmanship
Cons:
  • None

Wide Belt Use Only

by Sammy15, from MI, United States Written on July 7, 2015
The Galco Stinger is a nicely constructed conventional belt holster for small framed pistols. Unfortunately, the single belt loop is designed for a 1 3/4" belt. The holster tends to slides around with narrower belts, causing an unpredictable location around the waistband. This is not a safe arrangement for serious defense pistol use.

Armed Customer

by Pete, from AZ, United States Written on June 30, 2015
I ordered a Stinger for my S&W 640. It was received when expected, and has become my favorite holster. The tunnel style belt loop minimizes bulk, and makes it quick and easy to use. Because of the slim profile, this holster also serves as a pocket holster. I have ordered another one for my Glock 27. Galco quality is great always.
Best Used for:
  • Strong side carry only
