Galco Vertical Shoulder Holster System for S&W N Model 686 44Mag
Recently purchased the Galco Vertical Shoulder system for my S&W 686 44 Rem Mag with a 5 in barrel. Could not be happier with the form, fit and functionality of this system. Since there is not a holster for the 5 in. barrel, I purchased the 6 in holster and braided leather boot laces to insert in the barrel end of the holster holster to take up the gap.
I have worn it a total of 4 days, all day, to date and it is more comfortable than I had imagined. Add in the beautiful look and feel of the leather of this rig and you have a 5 star winner. Definitely recommend.

Galco Holster
This is an expensive holster system. But seems to be well made. I still have not been able to use it as some critical parts (speed loader carriers and tie downs) have not arrived. For the money you pay these tie down straps should not be optional but should be part of the system. Looking forward to using it as my older Bianchi X2100 lived past its due date.

Galco VHS For 686 plus 6"
Great rig but the ammo pockets leave a lot to be desired. Galco did a great job designing the system for a small build male like myself. It is easily adjustable and looks quite nice. Galco has an instructional video on their website that is helpful for fitting. Also, cannot wait to get the speed loader addition.

The ammo pouches shown in the picture are not the ones you get. It shows a newer holster and a speed loader ammo pouch but I received an older model with no speed loader ammo pouches. Felt like they were clearing out old stock. Would not recommend this act of showing one and shipping another . Could be called a bait and switch.

Great Holster at a Fantastic Price
A great holster and a fantastic price. I purchase the holster for my S&W 329PD 44 mag w/ a 4' barrel and it fit perfectly. The price was even better than ordering it directly from Galco and along with free shipping - you can't beat that.
