Gissel super 42 braided spring for ar
Super speedy delivery by Optics Planet. The Spewing works as advertised. It is quiet, smooth and makes the rifle fun to shoot. I ran about 109 rounds of 6.8 spc and never had a malfunction.
Gro ups were all tight at 50 yards <1 inch. I am ordering another.

Really no different than the standard pring.
I purchased this spring based on the reviews stating it silenced the "twangy" sound when charging the rifle. I only noticed about a 5% decrease in the spring noise when charging. Swapped it out at the range and noticed a smoother recoil and much better point of impact at a hundred yards. My grouping was much tighter. Did not notice the quieter twang or feel it in the stock.

If you want pretty much forever
The product is extremely robust, I've shot 1000's of rounds with think spring without issue. You need to remember that this is about 15-20% more powerful than typical mil spec.
It is designed for long life, maybe noise, and slightly recoil ( I cant really tell on the last two with 556 since recoil is pretty soft anyhow). If you are using lighter loads you could see possible cycling changes but with standard 55/62/77 grain you are good to go.

It depends
As most of you know gas tuning is part of the part of the art of ownership. For those without adjustable blocks you need to be careful. I bought this for a 18"Rise watchman 6mm arc and ran into trouble. I suspect the 18" barrel is not pushing enough gas to push the bolt fully back consistently. I've used Geissele in all my builds, works great in my 300blk 8" but (and no it was not the buffer weight) the spring is just a little heavy for low gased build. Its a great product but use caution based upon your gas system

Works excellent. Nice upgrade. My buffer tube is less noisy. And went from 1 o'clock to 4 o'clock ejection pattern.
