Most Helpful Positive Review Steel is the Best Gage.
These are hardened, precision ground steel rods. Straight to +/- 0.001" over entire 17" length. Don't settle for the carbon fiber rods at +/- 0.003" straightness. Not Good Enough. These Geissele rods are best.
Most Helpful Negative Review not very tight tolerance and expensive.
For something that my suppressor relies on, it’s unacceptable. Perhaps it was improperly machined? But the diameter is too small and has too much play to have a good estimate on suppressor alignment.

9mm suppressor alignment rod

by Ross, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on December 17, 2025
I have three of Geissele's alignment rods, and they are all worth it. You can look down the receiver and barrel and see a terrible misalignment, but it does not take much of a misalignment for a bullet to strike the end cap. Some of those are removable and some are not. Its worth it to me to be sure.

Geissele SAG is great tool

The Geissele SUG arrived in Optics Planet shipping box in perfect condition. The gage confirmed minor suppressor misalignment on my 350 Legend. Also confirming my carbon crossbow bolts are very straight. Excellent machining and finish on this tool!
