Purchased this barrel for my Beretta 92FS. After a little fiddling with the locking block, it dropped in fine & performed well with initial slide racking tests (empty chamber & no magazine). Took it to the range, loaded a full magazine, racked the slide and everything stopped. Couldn't fire a round and couldn't rack the slide more than 1/8 inch or so. Was able to drop the magazine but couldn't clear the chamber and the live round. Eventually took the pistol to my FFL/armorer to clear. He was able to clear the live round and remove the slide & barrel. Upon comparing the original Beretta barrel with this Gemtech threaded barrel, we noticed that the extractor notches on the barrels were different (Beretta notch was 0.025 inches deeper than the Gemtech notch). Apparently the shallower Gemtech extractor notch prevented the extractor to fully engage the shell casing as the slide withdrew, in effect locking up the entire slide. Based on the other positive reviews, this seems to be an unusual isolated defective barrel so I'm looking forward to the corrected replacement at which time I'll update this review.
