Notice I said Green Reticle because thats all you get can not switch to the dot only, which would be fine but the brightness goes from bright to extra low. Decent little red dot.
For those looking for a budget friendly option, is a pretty good choice. Note that you CANNOT swap between the dot, circle, and circle dot; the optic only has circle dot as an option. I also noticed some warping of the dot if it gets close to the edge of the glass and from certain angles, the dot is cut off by a hair on the bottom. Ive also noticed that the optic chassis is a bit tall, definitely not cowitness, even when directly mounted to slide. I suggest getting suppressor height sights of you plan on cowitnessing whis optic. The top loading battery compartment is a really nice touch, especially since most budget optics have a bottom loading battery compartment.

Gideon Green Circle-Dot sight

Great value for an excellent green dot
In the past I’ve used more recognizable brand names and have been very pleased. A friend showed me his Gideon and I thought I’d give it a try. Works well and has held up to daily use. I really like the green dot and larger circle. The alpha model so impressed me that I purchased three for use on my different handguns so I would face the same sight on each.

Red dot sight
I bought this red dot for aCZ Shadow2 compact. Fits and works great . IMO the circle is too large and at 7 yds , blocks the target. I would ,in the future, Buy the dot only and not the circle with dot.

great gor the price
I like that this site is raised like an SRO at a fraction of the price. I have two SRO’s, two RMR’s and several other lesser brands and bought two Gideons to put in range guns. I took them out to the range this past weekend and put 50 rounds through each gun. I needed to adjust the sites to zero in and found that I didn’t need to turn the adjustments as much as I need to for quality sites indicating the adjustments aren’t as fine as more expensive sites. You get what you pay for and these are good for the price.

the price is right!!
I wanted a reliable offset optic that would not break the bank… Fairly new brand and manufacturer, but I like the design of the user controls and the reticle and glass are very good.
I recommend this as a go to option for a 45 offset setup on a rifle.

Very bright and clear
This is a very bright and clear reticle. I have astigmatism and I can see this very clearly. Like the shake awake and this product seems very sturdy and well built. I will be buying more of these for other guns
