Dare I Say.. Better Option than a SRO?

Just as many of the other reviews state, this is a high-quality SRO clone that's loaded with great features. I'd argue this is better option that an SRO for a few reasons. first, the SRO is not designed to be a "battle-ready" optic, I have no doubt that it is, however if it's intended use is as a competition red dot, is it really worth paying hundreds of dollars more for the high-end name brand? The Gideon Omega is well worth trying if you're looking for a superb competition optic. Use the $ you save to upgrade your competition pistol in other ways. Or buy more ammo ;).

gideon omega red circle dot

Very nice optic actually and expectations were admittedly lower. Basically it’s an SRO with a holosun 507c circle dot. Glass is clear, optic presents well, even with my astigmatism. No complaints and will buy again for sure. At this price there is no better deal right now. Wish the branding was less noticeable would be the only criticism.

Decent Optic but not for price point

For the price point, the Gideon optic is really fuzzy, and feels cheap over all. Considering you can get the Holosun HS407C at the same price point and it has a crisp 2 MOA dot, solar back up, and overall better construction, you should spend your money there. I ended up returning this one and getting the Holosun.

So I tend to forget that our hole punchers, in this case Sig run the R1P/DDP foot print. At some point I forgot about that and now I’m waiting for my adapter plate. Looks awesome and I sat it on top of my M17 but it’s just for show until the plate comes inzz

Gideon Omega pistol optic

I’m a Retired LEO and while rifle optics have been commonly used for the past two decades, I’ve only recently gotten into putting optics on handguns. Purchased a few other fine optics already, however, I recently purchased the Gideon granite for a full-size Glock pistol and was so convinced on how well it works, that I purchased the Omega for a sub compact. The omega is a game changer for me because of its large window, making it very easy for me to get on target quick and fast. OpticsPlanet had it at a fair price, and shipping/ delivery was fast.

A Must Have!!

Absolutely impressed with this optic. Fits very nicely on my Springfield Prodigy 4.25 with a true co-witness. The Springfield RMR adapter plate A13B (which comes with the weapon upon purchase) fits perfectly with this sight. I like it so much that I purchased another for my Prodigy 3.25 as well. Definitely worth the money and discounts as well.
