Dare I Say.. Better Option than a SRO?

Just as many of the other reviews state, this is a high-quality SRO clone that's loaded with great features. I'd argue this is better option that an SRO for a few reasons. first, the SRO is not designed to be a "battle-ready" optic, I have no doubt that it is, however if it's intended use is as a competition red dot, is it really worth paying hundreds of dollars more for the high-end name brand? The Gideon Omega is well worth trying if you're looking for a superb competition optic. Use the $ you save to upgrade your competition pistol in other ways. Or buy more ammo ;).

A Must Have!!

Absolutely impressed with this optic. Fits very nicely on my Springfield Prodigy 4.25 with a true co-witness. The Springfield RMR adapter plate A13B (which comes with the weapon upon purchase) fits perfectly with this sight. I like it so much that I purchased another for my Prodigy 3.25 as well. Definitely worth the money and discounts as well.

Gidion budget red dot

I just got my plate yesterday, I mounted the sight I'm going to sight it in tomorrow and shoot a match with it the next day. It appears to be a good sight, the glass is clear and the dot is crisp and does not starburst to bad if you turn it up to simulate a larger dot. I've read a ton of reviews all are favorable so I don't anticipate any problems.

Pretty solid and doesn't break the bank. Tactile turrets, clear glass the dots a little "bloomy" but thats cuz my eyes notnthe fault of the optic itself.

amazing optic

So far I’m giving 4 stars because I’ve only just testing this optic with about a 150 rounds and it’s held zero. When I run it through the paces in the USPSA match this coming weekend we will see if it is worthy of 5 stars.

The dot shows up even in bright sunlight. It has a large viewing area. Also comes with a lifetime warranty. It came with several sets of mounting screws. I have shot about 400 rounds with it so far and it holds zero. I put it on a MAC 9mm DS-D comp. Great for range days

SRO on a budget!

I got this to slap on my MAC 9 DS Comp and glad I did. Super nice optic and it completes the look! The dot is crisp and clear. I do know that Gideon does back up their optics. Great buy!
Pros:

  • Bright good price point
Cons:
  • Depending on pistol, because its size & shape it may obstruct ejection.
Best Used for:
  • Compeition shooting
  • Plinking & target practice
  • recreation and competition
