Most Helpful Positive Review Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Solar Recharging Kit
Excellent build quality, perfect size for backpack, and enough charging options for common batteries and electronics. Added a nitecore f1 charger for 18650 to use for flashlight and power dump capable. As with any charger requires good sun source.Works fine with eneloop AA & AAA , but not 14500. A plus is being able to daisy chain with other units for more juice. Wish it had rubberized cover for inputs on charging unit.

Overall Solid

I usually wait to review gear, and with that said I've had this for about 1.5 years now, using it almost every day during the summer. Overall very solid. It can charge battery charger as well as a USB "switch" at the same time. I've left it out in the rain multiple times with no issue. It does take several hours to fully charge. Depending on the angle to the sun, and the time of year, it takes between 4 to 7 hours to full charge. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the claim they make is that it can charge your cell phone with a full charge, this is not the case. If BOTH the batteries are at full charge, and the USB switch are at full charge, it takes my S7 active from 0% to about 65-75% capacity. Overall very good, but I had to deduct a star for exaggerating how much of a charge this unit can store.
Pros:
  • Water resistant.
  • Portable power!
Cons:
  • Cannot fully charge a phone on a full charge.
Best Used for:
  • Back packing, camping.

Performs as advertised

This handy little unit will completely charge up your cell phone off the charge stored in its battery pack.
It is not high enough capacity to fully charge an Ipad, probably only 12-15%. It is a breeze to set up, and a very handy way to juice up rechargeable AA batteries for any portable device that doesn't have a connection for charging, like walkie talkie, gps, radio, etc.

Goal Zero Guide 10

Solar charge is small and light enough to pack with you on an excursion. I bought this to recharge the batteries in my GPS unit. Works as advertised. Charging time is kinda slow, but if you want it to charge faster, buy another panel and daisy-chain them together. I'm far to cheap for that, so I patiently wait! Uber patiently
