The single flip up sight peep hole is perfect for my vision. The semi hooded peep sight reduces shadows and reflected/ refracted light. The front and rear are flat and not convex. Seems to encircle my round hooded HK style front sight very well (PRI or Troy).
I can still pass for 20/20 vision but my eyes these days are picky. I played with 10-15” distances between front and rear sights and this was the best option for me.
The steel metal tab protects the receiver from the tensioning screw if not over-tightened. It does take more effort to raise it because of its size/ reduced gripping surface (somewhat like the slide on a small CZ pistol).
Rear sights can clutter red dot sights. This one does not. It’s a true minimalist design and does not feel flimsy.
This little sight is on my go to Ar15. PRI flip up front sight and a Holosun 510C Red Dot. Works well with the Troy HK style flip up as well. Great for my civilian AR needs and wants.

I had ordered this from opitic about 6-8 months ago. Still in the package for an upper I wanted to get. Since Covid happened couldn’t find what I wanted, so finally had to compromise and found a good upper. I put it on this m2 rear on upper toque down to 18in/lbs as stated on package. Left a big dimple on my new upper. Could see it inside upper where bcg and changing handle go. Used provided metal leaf was useless. Then I couldn’t lift sight up or down after installed to much force was needed, detention wouldn’t click when I was finally able to lift sight or bring back down. Bad product, no qc, stay away.

It fits perfect for Holosun 512 + Hokosun 3x magnifier. only 1 rail space left for backup sight and this is the pr9bably only one in the market that can actually fit on a single rail space. Good for what it is

Great sight low profile, flip up and down easily and tight. Sighted in easily and construction is very strong and durable. My new go to backup iron sights. Side adjustments are very easy to use and top adjustments are also easy to use. I would recommend these sights to anyone looking for a permanent set of backup iron sights.
Pros:
- Easy set up and function.

First thing with this rear sight is YES it is very very tight, BUT if you open it and close it with some force and a bit of CLP it gets a lot better! It is a well built sight system if you use both the front and rear. It only gets 4 stars because of the fact I had to play with it at first to get it open up easily. Like anything firearm related you should be playing with and using it to familiarize yourself with your gear and to work out kinks. Overall great buy.
Pros:
- Full metal
- Sleek and clean
Best Used for:
- All rifles and pistols if you are feeling frosty

The sight was unusable after leaving the factory. Unable to flip up the aperture without first forcefully depressing the pin with a small screwdriver. Took the sight apart only to find that the pin was locked in with 2 springs that were binding up on the pin itself and scarring the finish. Should have used 2 ball bearings no larger than .034” to act as detents like they did with the windage screw! Had to clip the springs and grind the ends in order to relieve spring pressure and keep them from binding again since I didn’t have any ball bearings small enough on hand. Once modified and installed on the rifle it works great!
Pros:
- Simple design
- Small Profile
- Small Aperture
Cons:
- May have to disassemble and modify spring lengths for it to work
Best Used for:
- Rifles with limited top rail space and as a turtiary aiming system

I really like Griffin Armament and the products the put out, I've been running one of their micro carry comps on my G19 for maybe a year and a half now, and love it. I bought this sight to lay low and underneath my Vortex micro 3x magnifier, and it tucks underneath the magnifier perfectly.the adjustment for windage is easy to manipulate with a flat head or shell casing, and the detent that locks up the adjustments is solid. When flipped up, there is no play in the sight, so no wiggle and always the same zero when flipped up and down. Overall, these sights are a great option for backup iron sights.
Best Used for:
- back up sights
- Use under a magnifier or scope

I had high hopes for this product; unfortunately, my expectations were exceedingly higher than the quality of the sight. There are deep machining marks at approximately 15° to the slot in the adjustment screw, almost like they thought about cutting a second slot and abruptly changed their minds. The holes in the ears of the base for said screw are not aligned, so the sight is canted in the stowed and deployed positions. The spring in the detent is crunchy. The misalignment of the sight and screw only adds to the detent's inadequacy. Lastly, the finish is not consistent and was scuffed in a couple of places.
I've been a machinist for 15 years, and I know poor quality work when I see it. I've seen govt jobs with better attention to detail.
On the plus side, it's small. So, if you've got limited rail space and have no regard for the quality of the things you put on your firearms, this sight would be perfect!

Found a perfect home for this rear sight on my Colt 6920. Solid steel construction, low profile and light weight. The peep-hole aperture gives perfect sight picture of the front sight post. Solid and repeatable windage adjustments. Perfect fit and finish. Definitely an upgrade from the plastic MBUS sights that came stock with my rifle!
