I bought this mainly as a thread protector for my barrel. After firing with it though, I can say that I've never had a grouping as tight nor consistant at that distance before. I WILL be purchasing another one for my mid size.
Pros:
- Great comp for conceal carry
Cons:
- It will make you firearm louder
Best Used for:
- Works perfect on all my 9mm pistols and sub guns

I added this to a factory Glock 19 Gen 5 with a factory extended barrel. This thing worked flawlessly and didn’t get in the way of drawing from a holster or reholstering after the course of fire. Shot from the kneeling, urban prone, behind barricades and had no issues. But tip, always add locktite prior to use, had to work that during the course but that was my oversight, not the comp. Definitely would recommend to anyone that is 1. On a budget 2. Wants to keep a low profile for conceal carry 3. Keep things light and not add weight to a pistol

4 stars because needed a spacer to line up correctly on my PSA threaded barrel -- I filed down an AR crush washer I had on hand to get it exactly right. Works in reducing muzzle flip, even with 115 grain ammo.

An outstanding compact compensator for threaded barrels. Unlike most compensators that only reduce movement up, this keeps the gun surprisingly level with multidirectional compensation for quick follow-up sighting and shots. Adds length so you'll have to size up your carry holster, but worth it. As with all comps, wear more hearing protection at the range. Best secured to the barrel with high temperature thread-lock, such as Loctite 222 (the purple one). This comp outperforms other much larger comps I've tried.
Pros:
- effective and simple design
- Small & light
Cons:
- Adds length
- loud and has some extra side muzzle blast
Best Used for:
- Speed shooting, accuracy
- Pistol Accuracy

I bought this to go on a True Threaded barrel for my P365XL. It does exactly as advertised and reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil allowing you to get back on target quicker. It indexed perfectly on the True barrel, aligning with the factory front sight blade on the 365XL slide. Obviously if you are buying this, you also must have a threaded barrel... with the additional length, you will need to modify your holster/s on the barrel end if your holster is a closed end style. Easy to do, especially if you are carry Kydex. 2 minutes with a dremmel and your done. One other note: Factory guide rod spring assembly may need to be upgraded unless yours is very well broken in with lots of rounds down range. My P365XL was brand new with very stiff factory spring. With the comp installed, it would not cycle 115gr target loads..WWB. It was fine with higher power self defense loads. I upgraded my spring and guide rod anyway to the DPM Soft Version for P365XL. Using the longest(strongest) spring and the longer of the 2 end caps, my 365XL was able to cycle everything without failure. My configuration is using the strongest combination in the DPM soft kit. Your pistol may require a different setup, you'll have to test it out. I am pleased with this purchase and the new recoil and flip behavior of my P365XL. I'm quicker and more accurate.

Item works well, but you’ll notice more of a difference if you’re shooting fast and trying to stay on target. The comp will significantly loosen itself after about 5 rounds, but this problem was easily solved with a wrap of teflon thread tape on the threads of my barrel. Overall a great item!
Cons:
- Lossens itself unless using loctite or thread tape

I'll start with the minor downfall that I have for this, which actually may be more an issue with the gun I was planning to put it on than this product. I originally planned to install this on a CZ 75 B, and although it did fit, because of the length of the threading, the barrel actually ended up being at or beyond the slot in this comp, rendering it useless on that gun. So, I'm not slamming the comp, just stating that without a lock nut or high strength lock-tite, you may not be able to use this on every gun. That said, I ended up installing it on a CMMG Banshee chambered in 5.7, and this made an already fun and easy shooting gun even more flat shooting, with even felt less recoil. I was able to noticeably increase my trigger speed while staying on a very tight target of just a couple inches at over 10 yards. This comp just screws on, it comes with a wrench so you don't have to worry about stripping it with the wrong size wrench, and with the 3 slot system you don't have to worry about what position it ends up in once fully threaded, as it will pretty much always end up with slot(s) opening upwards to help reduce muzzle rise, as intended. Good product for a reasonable price, that is also non-invasive like some larger comps.
Pros:
- price, size, ease of install
Cons:
- may not fit all guns without lock nut or lock-tite due to thread length

I estimate a 15-20% recoil reduction on the Hellcat Pro. My next test will be a 5 shot, timed string to see if I get sights back on target quicker with or without the comp.
Cons:
- Recommended torque is 8 in-lbs and no wrench I have goes that low.

Have this on my g19 and for how small it is it just takes the edge off nothing crazy but also allows you to run 115 grain to 147 grain to problem

This comp is built very nicely and looks good as well; the one problem I had was that it did not come with an O-ring so I had to take the O-ring from my True-Precision barrel. I did not have a torque tool so just tightened the comp by hand with a 16mm box wrench while verifying that I was not striping the threads. I haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet.
Pros:
- Threads on nice and easy.
Cons:
- Did not come with the o-ring
