This is a great product from Griffin armament, it locks up very tite when running suppressed and also works great unsuppressed. Optics planet is a great choice to go with, especially with their reliable shipping and customer service!

Performs as expected

The items were delivered quickly. The Hammer Comp performed as expected. It provides vertical compensation equal to an A2 birdcage but has better flash reduction. F fit and finish is really nice, the quality you'd expect from Griffin Armament.

Appreciate Griffin Armament quality! With each new purchase it is narrowing my search parameters, which is a very good thing. Well thought out design. Clean and precise machining. Butter smooth finish. Time will tell durability, but I have confidence it will not disappoint.

Great compensator

I’ve got this comp on my 18 inch BCM. All I can say is it works as advertised. Keeps the muzzle very controllable but also doesn’t have bad concussion. Having the QD taper mount option is also a nice option.

This is an awesome product. It really keeps the muzzle blast down so that you can stay on target for easy follow up shots. Great muzzle device! Even though 5.56 doesn’t have a lot of recoil, it helps for those who are new to shooting or for more experience shooters makes it feel like a .22lr so that there is barely to no recoil.

Well designed well built quick attachment/detachment for a suppressor.
Very easy to install and time with the provided shim kit.
Chose this model to extend service life of my suppressor as it provides an extra sacrificial baffle

Received this product very quickly and couldn’t be happier with the taper mount. It came with good instructions for mounting, all you need is a 3/4“ crows foot and torque wrench. I love the way it looks as well, very clean /sleek.

Always quality with Griffing Armament

I own several other Griffin products besides this one, and several other muzzle devices manufactured by them for a few of my other rifles. I am planning on swapping out all muzzle devices on all my other rifles to Griffin Armament ones, both to use with their taper mount suppressors and because of the precision quality I've come to love about Griffin products. Compared to other QD or threaded muzzle devices, Griffin devices appear more low profile and don't look so bulky on the end of the barrel. I have one of their other taper mount devices on a heavy profile barrel bolt action rifle and it meshes well with the profile of the barrel. Function is nothing but flawless and never had a problem with trying to time the muzzle devices myself with the shims provided by Griffin. Have come to enjoy and rely on Griffin products and will continue to for a long time to come.
