Fits perfectly in my AR-15 S&W M&P 16". The slot allows you put the solvent where you want it - in the bore - and not anywhere else.

Fits like a charm

Love this bore guide from Gunslick. I looked at several bore guides before I decided on the Gunslick, it fits great and it has a slot for you to see that your cleaning patch is still on the jag before entering the bore. It comes with multiple O-rings to adjust for a loose or tight fit. The end of the guide is knurled for a good grip to insert or remove the guide, its made of aluminum and right here in the USA!

Recommended AR cleaning tool

This is a quality product and is now an important tool in my rifle cleaning kit.

Quality product almost!

The Gunslick Bore Guide fits extremely well in my M4. Quality product if they would just include rubber O-rings with the guide. It doesn't make much sense to go to all that trouble to design a produce a great product and then go half-_ss with the O-rings. Customer should not have go buy parts to complete the product.

Very useful

I wish I had this while in the military, makes cleaning my AR much easier. It protects your chamber from the cleaning rod and keeps the cleaning rod from flexing in the upper receiver. Great addition to the cleaning kit.

Must Have

must have item for easy AR cleaning. well built milled billet aluminum fits perfectly in the upper for ease of cleaning. no more worries about beating up your chamber. also, brushes easily slide through bore guide(some other guides have too small of an opening and wire brushes wont fit)
