It looks solid
Looks like a solid buffer tube with good spring and buffer. Also the color looks good and appears to be tough and resistant to scratches. I have yet to put it on my girlfriends AR yet, we are waiting for a few more parts so we can dip the lower and upper in FDE

Outside fde color but the tube itself is trash
Looks like someone smacked few times and then they painted plus !!!!the inside nasty dirty
Full of aluminum particles plus!!! The castle nut got stock with the tube threads at first!!

Seems to be a pretty decent set. I was just looking to add some color to my 556 build and this matched very well. As I am a newbie, I can't really comment on quality, but it seems to be durable. All the other sites that carried a red buffer tube looked kind of sketchy. I have ordered from Optics Planet many times and how can you beat free shipping? :P

Great Color, Terrible Interior
Like another review said, the interior finish on this tube is rough, unlike anything I've seen. Deep circular grooves and rough finish causes the buffer to get caught, even to the point that charging the weapon is nigh impossible, and when it doesn't it makes a loud scraping noise. Haven't shot with it yet, so I may change my opinion if things change, if I shoot with it at all.

Trash tube, decent buffer and spring
The internal finish of the tube is terrible. No exaggeration, really deep grooves and gouges. It looks like someone shot thousands of rounds through it. The buffer and spring seem pretty nice. Very Disappointed.

Buffer tube kit
Item was as described. Shipping was the only issue. I ordered another kit from a different supplier and amd received it well before this one shipped. Honestly thought I forgot to order this kit from optocsplanet.

buffer weight lip is a problem
The buffer weight has a raised center that fits in to the back of the BCG. This raised center makes taking the rifle appart a pain in the rear. The raised center effectively prevents pivoting the upper away from the lower on the front take down pin. Instead, i have to pull both pins and wiggle the upper foward until the buffer clears the BCG. This raised center is not pictured in any of the add photos.

exactly what I had hoped for
Per usual optics planet delivers on time and with excellent product. I always buy American and I won't settle for less. You shouldn't either. When building a firearm of any kind you want your parts on time and of high quality. Nothing more rewarding to me than building a quality firearm. Optics planet fulfills this for me.

Perfect mil spec buffer tube
Can't really go wrong with this, threads on the extension were nice and clean. spring was a stainless steel nice and shiney will be easy to clean, buffer was weighted nicely and everything seems to be solid. Would buy again. The perfect, no thrills option

Great fit and performance!
I am building a SBR and wanted to add some “flavor” to it! I got this buffer tube in FDE and it’s a perfect match and perfect fit with my Hogue Buttstock. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some upgrades!
