Not truly a QD, the blast shield threads onto the comp. I've owned this for 4 years now. Was looking back at old purchases and decided to review. First and foremost, she's thiccc. The weight is definitely noticeable, especially on a 16" barrel. I've had this on the wife's 12.5, and it was much more comfortable. However, it works extremely well on every setup I've tried it with. I've also threaded this on a 9mm pcc and was tolerable with no ear protection, though not recommended. It moves some of the audible "crack" of the round forward, but most importantly, the blast. It is perfectly comfortable to stand next to when someone is using it.

The fit and finish of the item is great and looks like it should hold up well. Definitely has some weight to it but that will help with muzzle rise and keep the rifle flatter. Overall very happy with the quality

Pleasantly surprised with the quality. Would not call it a QD (Quick Disconnect) because it is treaded. Most QD's click on and click off. But the overall look and feel. Well worth it. The indoor range and gunsmith both loved the look and took pictures with the firearm.
Pros:
- solid
- Eace of use
- affordable, durable
- fucntional
- well built
- Astetically pleasing
- Does a great job at redirecting the concussive blast.
Cons:
- Not a con, a click/snap on click/snap off would be great.
Best Used for:
- Indoor or outdoor ranges. Looks great on the firearm. I do not take it off.

These things are easy to install, allows for a useful compensator, and mitigates pressure felt on shooter by pushing blast forward. For any application, let it be larping, training, shooting indoors, this will suit your needs. Operating in teams or even just shooting at an indoor ramge, this is a great addition. The most comparable item would be the Strike Industries Oppressor or Surefire warden. The Oppresor is great, and works with your choice of most muzzle devices, but can interfere with some handguards. The Surefire Warden is expemsive and often out of stock.
Pros:
- aestetics
- range friendly
- Price and install ease
- Indoor and outdoor
Cons:
- Adds some weight to the front of the rifle.
Best Used for:
- Practical Shooting
- practicing room-clearing in my boxers

Adds weight! All around does what it is designed for. Sound moves forward, and has Flash reduction. Works well for hunting. Mid/Long range shooting I put 200 rounds at the range not one issue other then Typical heat at the end of the barrel.

I shoot 556 rounds indoor, which can become incredibly annoying. This md really does push all gas and sound forward and even at the indoor range it was much more pleasant to fire. FYI - THIS WILL WORK ON ANYTHING THAT USES A 1:2x28 thread pitch!!!!! Don’t let them tell you otherwise. 22lr is a SMALLER projectile that uses the same thread as ALL standard AR. On a 22lr this will run fantastic
Best Used for:
- Indoor, close quarters . 22lr through 300 blkout
