Got these to go in with my AR spare parts kit. One will go in with springs and pins kit. If you haven’t ordered the common springs, pins, etc for your brand AR, you should. You need a good AR tool also. Helps in field stripping. Take the time to learn Could just save your life. My parts kit fits in my grip The shim is a spacer to correctly orient certain muzzle devices to their correct position on the barrel. If you order a muzzle device, spend the minuscule extra to get these shims. You don’t want to get your device on to find out you need a shim and then have to order and wait for them to come. If course, you could have a gunsmith do this really easy job. Knocked off one star for not having rifle finish. Some high temp paint and the wife’s oven will match up nicely.
