Most Helpful Positive Review A must for AR9
This thing is money. It slows down the bolt travel perfectly for 9mm rounds. For the price, this is the best option out there. You need this in order to prevent smaller 9mm rounds from getting bent or slammed hard by a fast traveling bolt. It also helps slow down the hammer reset time.

Guntec 9MM carbine buffer

Running this in a 9MM AR15 conversion. So far I haven’t noticed any problems with bolt bounce. Seems to handle the blowback well. Pairs well with my 14.6 oz buffer. Bolt is able to lock to the rear on an empty colt style mag. Time will tell, but it’s doing it’s thing for now.

Not what I expected.

The spring feels like the standard carbine springs. Usually people run the 308 springs on PCC and this is way softer. The buffer is also 8oz and that’s on the heavy side. I will be returning this. Neither one made it into the PCC.

Guntec USA AR 9mm Buffer and Spring Set

This buffer tube and spring set is great for anyone building a pistol caliber carbine. The 8.2 oz weight does a great job of taking the recoil as the bolt slides back so it doesn't hit the end of the buffer tube. The spring also works great at pushing the bolt closed for the next round.

Buffer made all the difference in the world

I first built my 9mm AR using the buffer and spring that came with the Aero Precision buffer tube kit. The rifle functioned but had a jarring kick just like the Ruger PC Carbine. I sold the PC Carbine because I didn't think that 9mm should kick that much in a rifle. I installed this Guntec 9mm buffer and spring and it made all the difference in the world. No recoil. Actually a little recoil. On the scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is a 22lr and 10 is the PC Carbine, this made it like 4 or 5. This is how a PCC should kick.

Less expensive doesn’t mean less quality!

This Guntec 9mm buffer and buffer spring set does everything I hoped they would. Made my AR-9 perform flawlessly. It’s so smooth. I have a couple hundred rounds through it now without issue. I don’t expect any. Buffer length is perfect. I’m using these with a Spike upper and lower receiver with a LRBHO. Works as it should.

Good to go

Works great in AR9, slows the bolt down to avoid hammering on buffer tube, one piece design is very solid and extra length does not require spacers behind it. Finish is Excellent. Quality spring provides the extra strength needed to slow the bolt down.

A must have for your ar-9 build

This buffer and spring is the BEST bang for your buck. It slows down the bolt cycling for reliable feeding of 9mm ammunition, compared to your standard ar15 buffer and spring . For the money, this is the best affordable option out there. In my book this is a MUST HAVE. Absolutely no issues for me once this buffer was installed. You won't regret purchasing this buffer and spring for your ar-9 build.
