Gunter handguard
There is no way to torque the barrel nut without buying there a special wrench. However, they do not tell you that you need that ranch before you buy it. A crowfoot wrench is to wide to fit in their slot. Also, their handguard holes for the screws are way to big and have a to much play. This handguard looks good when viewing online but it is JUNK….

Appears substantial
Very light. Well made. Will see how it holds up. No way to really lock the handguard to keep from rotating under heavy use with military, SWAT, etc. I used Loctite. For instance, the Yankee Hill system uses screws for antirotation and the gas tube locks the barrel nut.

I was quite impressed with this rail. It is very well machined, super slim, extremely lightweight, and it's at a fair price. It feels great in the hand. I absolutely love how it looks as well. I have only one complaint, and that would be that I was having gas block trouble on my AR, as a result I was putting the handguard on and pulling it off a bunch of times, and the piece that the screws thread into is just aluminum. One of the screws on the bottom stripped out the last time I put it on. Granted, that is partially my fault for running the screws in and out so many times, but it would have been nice if they were threading into steel instead.

Guntec Handguard 15 inch
Light weight and serves its purpose. Installed on an AR9 w/ 16inch barrel. Had to weld a socket to an adjustable wrench to use for tourque. After I installed it I realized the flash suppressor flats were under the gaurd so I had to remove it again to clock it. Over all very satisfied with the results.

Nicely made
At first glance I was a little put off... it appears to be virtually identical to the Chinese ones I used to get a few years ago, for half the price.
But wait! The holes line up!
Seriously, though, the workmanship is quite good, and as a result it is a lot easier to install. Since it isn't a 'pinch type" it is a little harder to index, but in my opinion the smooth bottom near the receiver makes it a bit nicer to hold.
I heard that a proprietary wrench is needed... but I was able to run it down pretty hard with a 32mm open-end wrench. A decent adjustable would work as well. It only goes to 30-80 ft-lbs, which is not a lot of stress on a nut this large.

Excellent 15" handguard
Lightest handguard I've come across. Solid construction, great finish, and looks cool! Came with barrel nut & 6 mounting screws. No "proprietary" tools are needed to mount the handguard, & no tools are included. Handguard came in hard, clear-plastic packaging & shipped in a good sized box with plenty of bubble wrap. Unbeatable for the price!

Great value
Delivery was 3 days.Easy to install. Barrel nut could have been more snug as the screws move it ever so slightly. Tweaked it and it looks great. The price was amazing. The finish is good as any 2x price I’ve seen.
